Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 34

Today's show used an awful lot of old clips, like the 2 you mentioned, and the "In My Book Song." I also liked the part of Elmo's World about the "rabbit ears". That was really funny! And also, if you were watching the end, during the closing playoff, they actually used the ORIGINAL END THEME...

What are the chances of a 1969 skit being on Journey to Ernie?

I don't necessarily think the skits are all new, they're just not using old films in between. So they probably will use some old Bert and Ernie sketches.

Was Lefty the Salesman shown only on Unpaved?

He was also on a 123 episode from season 25, where he sells 8s.

What are the chances of a 1969 skit being on Journey to Ernie?

Probably not from the first season, but they might use clips form the early 70s. I know they did last season.

    Sesame Street Encyclopedia Update

I read somewhere before that they took Lefty off because he used to get kids to talk to strangers.

Pat Playjacks and Davey and Joey Monkey

Acutally, here's some more information about Joey and Davey. They were 2 monkeys mainly used from 1992 until about 1998, and the use of them slowly decreased. They would be looking for a banana, or they would want a banana, and they would always do this wierd stuff in order to get the banana...

    New season of Sesame Street

I agree they should use more old clips!

    Was Unpaved on last night?

Yes, it was, and it will be next week, and more than that. I think that lady at Noggin programming lied to me. They just don't even want people to know that they're still airing it.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 34

I have to say that it's much better than last season. All those old songs, and they even brought back Gladys. Not only that, but it was just like when she was on years ago, when she would try to do something, but they didn't have time for her. And they didn't do a bad job at all of using old...

Unpaved Episode: Maria's and Luis's Wedding

Maybe there was originally a segment about the number 2, but Noggin edited it out.

    Some Not-So-Bad News

I wouldn't expect it on for too long. I think what is happening is, as I said, TEC has gone into "limited rotation." That means it will only be on like once a month. I know SSU is still on once a week, but expect that to change. And after SSU leaves, I predict that Season 25 will take the place...

    Some Not-So-Bad News

I actually did a search on Zap2it.com, and it says that Sesame Street Unpaved will be on at 4 AM on Monday 4/7, and 4/14. I wonder what's going on. Do you think maybe that lady lied to me? I also did a search and The Electric Company actually WAS on last week at 3:30 AM right before Unpaved...

    Character Help

His name was Bad Bart. He also appeared in a sketch where everyone was scared and waiting for him to come "when the cow moos 4 times." He wanted to see the bar tender to pay him back.

I'm surprised Guntag Gelman Jones even got into that book. He was only ever used in that one episode.

letters and numbers that are sponsored on Unpaved

Yes, and that's WAY too many. Not just that, but look at letters. I don't think there was one show out of the whole Unpaved series brought to you by the letter X. Which is why we didn't see "X Marks The Spot" or "Cowboy X". See, what they basically did was they were just picking whole shows just...

    Michael Jeter Died

I think Michael Jeter might have actually been on Sesame Street before Elmo's World. Bill Irwin, the first Mr. Noodle was. He was in films such as "Does Air Move Things?", and "Break Dances at Bus Stop." I remember Jeter appeared in the Alphabet Song with Ray Charles back in Season 28, and he...

letters and numbers that are sponsored on Unpaved

Practically every episode was sponsored by the number 2. Which is why the Unpaved series was never all that great in the first place. Let me just say something about it, so you may not be as upset. Because almost every show was sponsored by the number 2, the Pinball #2 segment was used in...

Who Would You Want as a Guest Star on SS?

I don't ever remember seeing Michael Jackson on Sesame Street, or a muppet look-alike, but one of his songs was parodied. There was a song called "Wet or Dry" sung by Chris of Chris and the Alphabeats, and it was a parody of the Michael Jackson song, "Black or White." Even the video was a parody...
