    Little things we've noticed

I didn't notice that that was the joke when I was a kid (not until I saw the joke explained online), was confused by Statler and Waldorf's reaction on audio releases ("on the show that wasn't funny, but on a record it doesn't make sense"). I thought the humor came from the fact that it showed...

What Makes Music versus Happiest Street in the World

In the last year I decided to download the entire disco albums, at first just downloading some tracks, including Happiest Street, and for a while I'd frequently listen to that one over and over again. But lately, I find myself listening to What Makes Music over and over again. The disco...

Frank Oz Talking ‘The Muppets,’ ‘Sesame Street’ and Dark Crystal Prequel

Frank Oz said in his interview for The Muppet Mindset last year that he can't just go to Disney, tell them he's one of the original/long-running Muppet performers, and pitch an idea that he thinks is right (unless he can show evidence that it will make a big profit).

Frank Oz Talking ‘The Muppets,’ ‘Sesame Street’ and Dark Crystal Prequel

And he keeps saying that he never gets asked back. He says that Disney doesn't ask him to perform the Muppets even though he has said he was asked to be involved with the 2011 film, but I have a feeling that was more of an offer by Jason Segal/Nick Stoller/James Bobin than the Walt Disney...

What Makes Music versus Happiest Street in the World

The album Sesame Disco has two great songs - What Makes Music and The Happiest Street in the World (actually, all of the albums songs/tracks are great, but these are the two I am focusing on now). Which of the two is better? What Makes Music is the opening track, and it is a great opening...

Frank Oz Talking ‘The Muppets,’ ‘Sesame Street’ and Dark Crystal Prequel

I wish I could understand what he meant by "I don't think of puppets, I think of character". With this being the first real Dark Crystal production since its original release, I would think he'd be more okay with being involved, since it is harder to say that it's not true to the...

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

Something that would be neat for the YouTube collections that I think I've mentioned before would be ones honoring the works of the Muppet performers, especially long-time performers like Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, and Caroll Spinney (why do I have a feeling that a...

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I started thinking that it would be cool if each episode could end with a new rendition of a classic song (maybe songs that recently had new versions, like "Rubber Duckie", could just be the recent remakes as opposed to doing new ones again this season). Of course they did redo quite a few...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I've never noticed that. I can't remember if I ever went outside to play right after a storm ended. Of course when it happened on Pee-wee's Playhouse, it ended because Jambi granted Pee-wee's wish, so his magic probably also made it dry enough to play outside (and I'm not really sure if it...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

Too bad it doesn't include the original (I wonder if Sesame Workshop has some kind of issues with paying residuals to the actor who played Miguel, as I don't think Sesame Workshop has released any clips with him) or the other season two version, but it is a nice little video. Has a few rare...

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

It does make me wonder if he would have had the same problem if he called for an appointment to see something that the archives already has.

    The "You know what?" thread

Recently I downloaded Super Mario Bros. 3 on the WiiU, and noticed some levels are quite harder than I remembered when playing about seven years ago. And some of the levels I've always declared the hardest are a little easier for me now (I've been better at exploiting certain secrets and stuff...

    TV Tropes

Sometimes I'll edit something and get a notification of something I did wrong within a day. And I keep wondering, if they're notifying me of grammar/formatting mistakes, why don't they correct it in addition to informing me of what I did?

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I think I've also noticed that. Haven't really watched the show in the last few years. It also seems like the cold opens on a lot of shows are long. I've seen the beginning of some drama shows my parents watch, and noticed that the title and credits don't seem to occur until about ten minutes in.

    Little things we've noticed

Oh. That does make more sense in terms of using a different performer. And when I was looking at the wiki page, at first I mistakenly thought Tesse was the one performed by Richard Hunt (which would make sense as David Rudman would eventually take over some of Richards characters).

    Episode info from trusted sources

Although the first season guides have been completed, I've seen that the Muppet Wiki guides for episodes 43 and 83 still do not list where all the known Noggin edits occur in the episode (or any unknown cuts). I know that the CTW Archives program guides note that those guides are printed...

    Little things we've noticed

Looking at Muppet Wiki's guide for Twiddlebugs sketches, which lists "first appearance" for all the sketches (I wonder if that's a mistake and any are EKA, but I trust it's all first appearances), and I've found another Jim Henson performance that first aired in season 21: The Twiddlebugs share...

    Episode info from trusted sources

After I posted about the day care episode not actually being in season one I saw in the sandbox page for unidentified episodes that somebody added info that it's not in any of the wiki's first season guides that are now complete, also saw it point out that Spinney referred to Jeff Moss as the...

    The Kids Are Alright

I watched the first episode, but haven't really had time to watch more and haven't felt like watching more episodes online. The episode I saw was decent. I hope to get motivated into at least watching more of the episodes online soon. I usually like sitcoms that take place in past decades.

    Episode info from trusted sources

Every episode from season one now has a full guide. Interestingly, there's one episode from the first season I've read about that I can't find in any of the guides. In Caroll Spinney's book, he says that there was a script in the first season where Big Bird wanted to go to day care, and made a...
