Little Big Bird part 2, Season 37 changes

Well, they can't exactly air Season 33, because the format was so different. That's why they didn't air any Season 33 shows in Season 35. You know, with Monster Clubhouse, the OLD Journey to Ernie, and all those other things that bombed.

Little Big Bird part 2, Season 37 changes

I know, I know, I can understand why you're upset, but it's more real than unreal. I mean, don't you think it's a bit odd for a season of any show to START in April? I mean, why premiere something if no one will be watching it?? But I think the big reason why they're doing this is so that they...

Little Big Bird part 2, Season 37 changes

Not until September. I'm assuming probably Labor Day.

    Oscar the Hermit

Actually, here's something interesting. He didn't used to be a hermit back in the 70s, especially the early 70s. For example, in the song "Play Along" from the album Sesame Street 2, he obviously didn't want to join the fun, but they forced him to. "Come on, Oscar! You gotta get in it!" And he...

    Closing theme, anyone?

There used to be one on the site 80stvthemes.com, but it doesn't work anymore.

    Opening theme truncated!

It's sad, I know, but I think the reason why they had to truncate it was because of the 5th sponsor. I'm afraid this is how it will be from now on. And if they do another one next season, it will probably be shorter as well.

    Opening theme truncated!

I was just watching SS today, it was the Season 34 episode where Rosita became friends with a frog wearing a crown, and I noticed that the opening theme was much shorter. They cut out the intro and only had the first verse, and the film was truncated. Does anyone know if this is the way it will...

    Lillian

She IS making a comeback appearance. But I think they're showing old footage as well. I mean, MAYBE they'll just do a make-believe flashback, but from what she told me, it sounds like they're gonna show the real thing.

    Lillian

I'm pretty sure they're gonna show the actual footage. And it actually was on the show back in the 1989-90 Season. They had Miles leaving nursery school, and then starting kindergarten. I think his last day of nursery school was episode 2665. And his first 2 kindergarten episodes were 2668-69...

    Lillian

You won't believe what I just found out. She's coming on the show as a guest next season! They're doing a flashback where they go back to Gabi and Miles' first day of Kindergarten. I can't believe they're doing this! I think this is the first time this has EVER happened on Sesame Street!

    "J Jump" Song

I think it's entirely possible that Big Bird's poem and the song appeared on the show together at one time.

    D'Snowth's Sesame Reviews

Actually, Sesame Street ALWAYS started their season in November up until 2000. At least as long as I can remember. But I remember Season 31 wasn't ready to start by the time that Season 30 ended, and there was such a big gap between the new shows and the old shows, what they did was, they...

    Elmo on "Your Total Health"

I don't know if any of you saw this, but I read on the site that he appeared on this show back in September, and talked about how he keeps himself healthy by eating healthy foods. Kelly Clarkson was also on that same episode. Did anyone actually see this, or hear about it? Because I THINK the...

    Put On Your Dancing Shoes

I didn't see it, but there was a live-action film song in the early 90s with that title. I'd be surprised if that's the song they sang, because it didn't originally have a character singing, and I don't think it was even a Sesame Street song originally. It sounded more like Michael Bolton.

I Can Only Sing the High Part!

It was last shown in 1987, and it was retired in 1998 because the curriculum was whole/part relation, and that curriculum is no longer being used on the show.

    This Is A Tough One

This song was called "You Are Not a Baby Anymore." It was actually about the things that kids can do when they are bigger. It was actually written by Marc Brugnoni, who was also a filmmaker (I think this was the only song he wrote). It was from 1973, and I think it was last seen in 1988, and...

    Sesame PBS ads

The one with The Count and Telly was actually part of the 1991 pledge season special "Big Bird's Birthday/Let Me Eat Cake." They had to stop using it eventually, because The Count mentioned some shows that went off soon after, like 3-2-1 Contact. I think he also asked some little kid what he...

    One Year wonders

Iago was actually seen in one Season 25 episode, 3146, where Ruthie wanted him to go a certain way, but he wouldn't go that way, so she had to tell him to go the OPPOSITE way of the way she wanted him to go, and that got him to go the right way.

    A question about Clementine

Actually, the song that Clementine sang with Elmo was called "We Call Them All Important" and it's probably from the late 80s/early 90s.

    Joan Ganz Cooney Interview

Actually, I don't mean to disappoint you, but if you watch the very beginning of the interview, the interviewer announces that this was taped on April 22, 1998. So, that was like nearly 8 years ago, and sadly, I think she was talking about Noggin, because that was before it even existed!!:(
