    I seem to be the only one that noticed that an unfortunate trend Hollywood's been doing since 2001 is doing CGI animated movies where the main characters are talking animals! These films often have celebrity/big name actors in the voice cast, crude "Ren and Stimpy"-style humor, pop songs...

    "Get Out, Stay Out, Don't You Go Back In" song

    I didn't know about a Chris Cerf song called "Get Out and Stay Out." The song was actually mainly sung by a firefighting wolf that was voiced by Jerry Nelson! :D It seems that it could be one of those animated remakes of old Sesame songs with Jerry singing it.

    could Herry have initially been intended to be generic?

    The Herry puppet was also often used for the Big Bad Wolf as well. I think by the late 1970s, Herry was supposed to be Jerry Nelson's main character, until the Count stole much of Herry's thunder (pun intended! :zany: )
