It's crazy, it's starting flame wars, it's nothing but drama... and it means I have been more drawn to MC this week alone then I have been in months! I love this! Muah ha ha ha ha! I love you Muppet Central! I love every last one of you crazy mother *******! Edit: Sorry, I just really do love...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

Hmm. Very good point. I suppose for me, it was when Studio DC aired. It was weak, a strange connection, and a bit hollow. However, it was an appeal to a new audience, interaction with kids who knew how to interact with the Muppets, and above all else: something. They're back on the radar, and if...

    Speculation: Possible Henson Biopic Script

Okay, I read through a bit more and it gets better. Just to clarify, is this the Empire film that was announced a while back?

    Speculation: Possible Henson Biopic Script

What the... Moo York? Fat Fozzie? Is this for real? It's like some weird acid trip.

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

I thought the whole purpose of the One Muppet – One Voice campaign was so that specifically did not happen. If I remember correctly, it was a cruise line that was going to do that and that's what started the whole campaign in the first place.

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

I think a poll is in order here, something tasteful of course, not a "what do you think happened" type thing. Just a "Did you like the Muppets performance on AGT?".

Sesame's Lifetime Achievement Award from the Daytime Emmy's got a nod on The Soup starring Joel McHale. He then proceeded to make a joke about Oscar getting rid of Gordon and sexually forcing himself on Elmo.

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

Nice. This thread was reopen and it got embarrassing real fast. I think we're all wired a little too high-voltage here. *passes out muffins to everyone There's ways to debate passionately without calling people stupid and worthless and then reacting the same way. This is an internet forum; you...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

I just watched this (and listened) again, and I'm sold more then before. I don't know who this new performer was, but I think he did really good. I'd even like to rescind my "stiff puppetry" comment, and I'll have a roast beef on rye with pickles too. Er, what I'm trying to say is that I liked...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

Sorry to double post, but I was wondering if there was a point to this appearance other then exposure. Is there currently something the Muppets are promoting? Or is this the start of a blitz for next year (hopefully a big year for them with everything we're being promised)?

Good or bad performance, are we really entertaining the possibility this is a permanent change? I highly doubt this was anything other then an isolated incident.

Another one! Today on Howard Stern's radio show, he had comedian Pablo Francisco (who does a bit about Kermit and Scarface). Because of Pablo's bit and focusing on his impressions, he briefly did an impression of Kermit, which Howard then imitated.

    America's Got Talent Thread Closure

I like that we all disagree on the alternative-Kermit issue. I liked the performance, and I appreciate that others didn't. Closing the thread was a bad call. Negative or constructive criticism is to be expected, and if a performer is willing to put his/her talent on national television, then...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

Man... I'm always fascinated how divided and passionate as fans we all are. It is a good thing, a very, very good thing. But I'm always so surprised how spread across the board we all are! :D

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

These were my exact thoughts, and I'm surprised at the negative reaction to the voice. I do feel the puppetry was stiff, and the personality/fluidity was weak, but that will improve with time. I'd be surprised if this change was anything more then a one shot deal, but I'd be interested to see...

And I really don't believe Steve was even there. Voice aside, the puppetry was not to his quality.

I don't know that this is as bad as everyone thinks. I agree, it wasn't a great performance, but it was good exposure. I am just as curious as everyone to find out what happened, and I suppose Statler and Waldorf were bumped too.

    Muppet Film and TV References

This one is a couple weeks old, but during Woodstock's 40th Anniversary, Howard Stern was talking about some of the acts, and when referring to Bert Sommer, he made a quick reference to him performing with Ernie. Not much, but it made me smile.
