The 1980's version was the Astroboy that I grew up with and always watched on ABC. So naturally out of the three versions made for me it shall forever be the "official" Astroboy series. And in my opinion it is by far the best in any case. It is marketted as a kids' show. But it never-the-less...

I own the Aussie Season 4 DVD and it does have what is commonly believed to be seasons 4 and 5 on it. Perhaps that information you have is incorrectly mistaken?
