So what's up with the Japanese Sesame movie?

I think that anything associated with SESAME STREET would have to have both the Henson Company and Sesame Workshop involved......

    Multi-part episodes

I think the storyline where Slimey the worm went to the Moon was done over the course of an entire season.

    SSE: Zoe Bio

Did you mention that she made her first appearance in the 25th year of the show? 1993, I believe, the same year when SESAME STREET showed "around the corner", and the same year Ruth Buzzi, Celina the dance instructor, and Baby Bear first appeared.

More Muppets on New Season of "Play With Me Sesame"

I think they should keep the show with just four Muppets - it's nice how this show is giving the Sesame Street Muppeteers something to do in the off-season.

How big was Kermit's role on Sesame Street?

Kermit had a huge role on SS during the first season, and was used to give lectures and explain concepts to children. Then, he was taken off and replaced by Herbert Birdsfoot, who took over as lecturer. Then Kermie re-appeared in 1971-1972, and then was seen less regularly once THE MUPPET...

    Sesame Street music

Actually, I kinda appreciate how they keep going back to classic songs now and again. The karaoke show had People in Your Neighborhood and ABC-DEF-GHI, to name a few.

Best and Worst Sesame Guest stars

Best Sesame music appearance: R.E.M., doing Furry Happy Monsters, w/ Muppeteer Stepahnie d'Abruzzo lending her vocals

    Emmy Awards

Wow...I love it how SESAME and MR. ROGERS would pay tribute to each other over the years. PBS is one loving family, ain't it?

    Strange news....

This kind of torture reminds me of the re-conditioning scenes in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE where they force Malcom MacDowell to watch horrfic arts of violence over and over again....

What year were the typewriter guy cartoons and the sand letter animations off?

I'm under the assumption that the typewriter sketches were taken off in the early '80's.

How many muppets lived on the original Sesame Street?

Kermit never really appeared on the Street segments that much in the first season. The original Sesame Street Muppets were Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, Oscar, and Kermit. Cookie was there, but was known as simply, Monster.

Counting cartoon with race cars and spies

I think most of us are also thinking: What were these people smoking when they came up with these psychedelic images on the racecar/spies cartoons? I mean, these skits are the most outdated feature on the old SESAME STREET clips, and are sooooo 60's-ish.

    Which Unpaved was last week?

If history is any indication, then since it was Mother's Day, Noggin would have skipped its chronological presentation and had inserted the episode from 1989 where Maria gives birth to Gabi. Of course, I can't confirm this, but this is what they did last year.

FRAN BRILL makes a CAMEO APPEARANCE on today's show!!

Her character was just a non-descript human nurse.

FRAN BRILL makes a CAMEO APPEARANCE on today's show!!

Today, the beloved FRAN BRILL made a cameo appearance as a nurse on the episode where Baby Bear's sister is born at the hospital....She's near the start of the show. She had quite a few lines. You can notice her cause she's got that Susan Sarandon-ish look to her, and she sounds deeper than...

Why was Oscar orange and then green?

Here's the scoop on how OSCAR turned from orange to green and how they explained it on the show: OSCAR was orange in the first season, 1969-1970. Carroll Spinney was gonna perform OSCAR as a guest on the old Flip Wilson Show in 1970, but by that time, it was agreed that the puppet would be...

    Big Bird's Voice?

I have to disagree. Outside of cloining Carroll Spinney or making him younger, I think Matt Vogel does a great job in capturing th essence that is Big Bird. I'm a fan of the much older Sesame Streets, so it's nice to hear the Big Bird of yesteryear come back. Aren't you glad that they...
