Thanks, It has taken a lot of time and money to get the puppet work just right but I would like everyone to have puppet like this so was thinking of 3 options to get it out there. 1. Can buy a fully built puppet. I have enough material to make 3 fully built puppets. I takes me almost a week to...

Does anyone have a Kermit head pattern?

The master replica kermit that has been dismanteld on the web has the indentaion on the head peices where the eyes were attached. Kermits eyes are 38mm wide so taking that measurement into mind you can print out the pic and blow up the pic on a photcopier until the circle on the pic matches...

Does anyone have a Kermit head pattern?

Using the MR kermit pattern i used the indentation on the head to scale up. A pingpong ball is usually 38mm dia and i used that to scale up.

    Building an Elmo

It does follow the shape of your hand but because of the way i stitched it it does kinda hold its self up another inch or so after the foam ends. I used a sewing maching to do the back stitching two lines quarter of an inch appart, rest is hand stitched.

    Building an Elmo

I used 2 part plastic xmas baubles, they are found everywhere on internet. i glued them together and primered them white and then finished with gloss white, they come with a little hoop on them so they can be sewed directly to the puppet. I didnt use this method i cut off the bottom 20% and then...

    Building an Elmo

Yes the egg is to remove the seam. just use a foam egg and stretch material over it and hot glue it to the back. The boiling water technique makes the fur seem matted but if the furs too long it just looks like a wet cat. once it has been in water for a minute rinse out the hot water and just...

    Building an Elmo

Having made and elmo already, i think you need to make a one peice nose from a foam egg shape and cover it with one peice of cloth. I would say the eyes are slightly too large as well. It actually looks a lot like mine did before i took out the scissors and trimmed the hair down a little...

    Twilight Edward Puppet head

I bought the rotondo pattern yrs ago and this was the first time I used it so had never seen it made. I've mainly used the simple series patterns. So I just made that pattern to see what it was like then changed it to fit. I cant draw at all so cant put down on paper a design, i just add or...

    Twilight Edward Puppet head

I used a rotondo pattern for the mouth and sides, then started cutting and adding peices until the forehead was bigger, it looks like a frankenstein head with no fleece or hair. Also i found the rotondo pattern was way to large so ended cutting out an inch from the middle so ended up being more...

    Building an Elmo

I didnt use any patterns, monstro pattern is no good. I watched many videos of Kevin clash with elmo and determined that elmo's head is only foam from his mouth upto just behind the eyes about an inch, behind this it is nothing but the fur. I found this the was the only way I could the head...

Just keep trying, mine isnt fully finished i need to do the eyes but the weather is bad so cant spray my ping pong balls white outside yet. You cant go wrong using that pic of the master replica one, just needs pulling into place and trimming to get it right.
