You all are so silly :p I told someone to Fluff off and it practically went unnoticed.
There is a really fun blog on the new "proposed" film here:

Thank you Sarah, sounds like you are actually reading the writing on this wall unlike the others who are reading the writing on past walls which don't exist anymore.
Things do fall through sure enough. Happens all the time. You never know. But Sarah clinched it in her first paragraph better...
You ALWAYS walk out of a movie that you are not being entertained in. It is an insult to your intelligence to sit there.
"Alexander" is a movie that I walked out of along with half of the screenwriters in Hollywood.
Did I not say earlier that if you put out good energy you get it back? This was Jim Henson's main philosophy, yet everyone is so indignant.
I was once told by a buddhist monk that the universe is like a mirror and what you reflect into it is what is reflected back to you. I found this to be...
Snowth obviously does not understand completely how Hollywood works. If for example Segel had went in with a decent idea and impressed them but, they weren't quite sure they would have mulled this around for much longer. Then, giving him the go ahead to write it - they would have been much...
Snowth - I can understand your concern but, I beg to differ - this has not happened in quite the same way... ugggh!
Keep dreaming and believing and for Henson's sake put out good energy. You get back what you put out people.:)
Oh ok - you're so right. Disney will just sit on the franchise and never do another thing with it. They will build a brand new website, collect the muppet emmy and just relegate themselves to making money off the previous DVD's. Get real! Hollywood doesn't work that way, they sat on it...
And don't forget about the Muppet Replicas. I could barely sleep last night thinking about this and the muppets.. I didn't realize how truly starved I am for them to make a comeback - haha.
I really hate how that one guy on the comments of the blog stereotyped us all as geeks and said noone...
um, I'm not so sure he's just throwing around ideas... That is not how those pitch meetings work. You have to go in with a concrete storyline, a synopsis and an outline. It's a clear and definite roadmap of how and what will be written. They aren't just buying thin air - they want to know...
By being current I meant along with a good story that they have current situations, comedy and guest appearances. This will all draw crowds to see the film. I gather from what he is saying is that he is going to go back to the original formulas of what made them work while adding current...
Wasn't that the best news of the day? Originally I was picking up very good energy from this project but, his words were beyond even what I could have imagined. Yes, yes take it back to it's roots! Muppets under water, i'm still laughing :D this guy is funnneee...
Omg!
Everyone has to totally read this article which just hit 1 hour ago:

I wouldn't worry too much about the quality or lack of music this time around... Disney and the muppets just won a grammy remember.
This is a quote from a review on film.com of the new Forgetting Sarah Marshall movie which they said is one of the funniest movies this year.
"Jason Segel is a...
The muppets have to be current to touch base with the ongoing movie audience. This whole idea of a classic muppet movie is ludicrous because that is not what they will do.
It goes against the basic Hollywood fundementals - they have to draw in the crowds. OH well, i'm tired of bashing to...
