No, they're not, at least not often. However, last year the Cars revived as the "New Cars" with Todd Rundgren (instead of Ric Ocasek) on lead vocals. The Police performed their hit tune "Roxanne" from 1978 on the Grammy this year (it was the ONLY part I liked). Also, "The Letter N" may also...

I saw it!!!!! It sounds kinda like The Police, The Clash, and The Cars melded into one band! What do you think?

The "Ernvis and Berthead" pictures RULE, man!! XD I especially like that one you drew where they're encountered by Lefty!! :p BTW, thanx 4 updating me on the YouTube posts (in the other thread). Now I know EXACTLY why the # 8 Bellhop skit scared me in my youth; all those floors he crashes...

I'm pretty sure they have a keyboardist; I don't know how else they could've gotten the organ for "Take Me to the River", or the blips and bloops for songs like "Once In A Lifetime", "Burning Down the House", and "Girlfriend Is Better".

Talking Heads has 3 male members and one female (not sure if she's the drummer, though). As for the back-up singers, maybe those two girls from the B-52's (Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson). It could be a combination of the two bands! You could call it "How Now Byrne Cow and the Moo-52's"

Litallica!! Hilarious, Big Jeffy! Perhaps their songs could include "Enter Doorway", "The Letter L Matters", and maybe a parody of "The Unforgiven" (though I haven't figured out a title yet.) How about "AB/CD" (AC/DC)? Their songs could be somewhere along the lines of "Highway to L", "The Color...

Cool picture :) They don't have an "official" music video for "Lost In the Supermarket", just some lame attempts at matching the lyrics with images. The song that's used in the background for these videos is DEFINITELY "Lost In the Supermarket", though. Check it out, lemme know what you think...

No :( I haven't figured out what type of music they use in this song, but I saw a picture online of Nick Normal back when "Sesame Encyclopedia" existed. He looked like a green version of a member of the Clash, which leads me to believe it could've been punk AND new wave all in one song (if...

I'm becoming pretty impatient myself (for that matter where's my other favorite '80s rock parody about a letter, "Rebel L"?) It'll come, though. I had to wait about 15 months for "G - Gorilla" to be added and I didn't think ANYBODY would put up one of the "rap" songs about numbers from the late...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

YES!!! I can't BELIEVE somebody else was scared of this one as a kid! I didn't know whether or not this skit (and others like the 2 kids in the lobby) were considered "scary" by anyone else but apparently I have my answer now!! I've said this a couple times before but somebody should SO post...

BTW, when were these clips made? Looks like they were made about the same time the Bellhop clips were (circa '86), just curious.

Gordon Voice-Over Letter Clips!!! So glad the Gordon VO letter clips have been put up!! These ROCKED! I forgot how much I LOVED the letter "Q" version in my youth, but the instant I saw it I remembered because of the blue background, classical music, and the capital Q struggling to turn into a...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

And why not?! Seriously, I'd like to know. BTW, another one I'd LOVE to see reposted is the "Willie Wimple" clip about chopping trees (or something like that) 'cuz it made me laugh even as a kid because of the "Yeecccccccchhhh!!!!" part at the end!! For some reason, I thought it was about...

What was Sesame Street like from 1988-1992?

Ah, the golden years of SS!! (for me, that is) This was my favorite era of SS 'cuz I grew up with it!! Some of the best skits from back then included: "Danger's No Stranger" by How Now Brown And the Moo Wave Cowboy X The ones where they rap about numbers (6, 7, 9, 11, 13 ,15, 17, and...

1985 seemed to be Sesame Street's peak

The '80s were cool too for SS!! Well, I grew up with the show in the late 80's/early 90's. I gotta say, though, that 1992 is probably when SS REALLY went downhill for me. The '70s skits, of course, were great, but there was some AWESOME stuff in the '80s like the rock music parodies and the...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

The all-time scariest for me... 'toons/live action: "G - Gorilla" this scared the living **** out of me as a kid 'cuz when that one guy unzipped his costume to reveal he was a gorilla, he made this unearthly noise (AAAUUGHGHHEYYYAARRHHAAGGGHH!!!), and plus I thought that the gorilla was EATING...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Honestly, I thought (and still think) that "Wet Paint" ROCKED!!! It rocks now 'cuz it reminds me of Bowie and Talking Heads, but I guess back in the day, it rocked 'cuz it was just plain ol' fun! I can see where you'd be scared of the other two, though. Millions of kids were, from what I know...

Sesame Street muppet bands that you would like to see return

YES!! How Now Brown Cow and the Moo Wave should TOTALLY make a comeback :) (slim chance, though :( ). Their sound, though not a direct parody of any band, seemed to evoke the sounds of bands like (later) David Bowie, Talking Heads, and INXS to me; and since Talking Heads haven't recorded...
