Is there a substitute for antron fleece?

First off..WELCOME GOOCHMAN! As you've already discovered this forum is a GREAT place! As my cohorts have proven with all their great advice. The funny thing is I first read your post but didn't have time to respond right then. I thought of all the things I wanted to share and figured I'd pop...

    New Puppet: Plucky Red

Yeah, that can be tricky. I've donated a couple of puppets to charity auctions. The trouble is that most people have no idea what the price and or value of such a puppet is. I would give them a stated value of at least $300 and suggest a starting bid of no less than $50.

Oh don't you worry buddy, I WILL be making a trip to the Junction at some time in the hopefully not-to-distant future!

    Puppets but not Muppets

I don't find it aggravating. The Muppets have been and continue to be a great inspiration for me. They are really the only form of puppetry that most of American society is familiar with so it really isn't that surprising. But since I have such a love for the work of everyone associated with Jim...

    Blues Brothers Puppets

Very nice. I also enjoyed the Shake a Tail Feather as well. I'll have to watch more of your videos when I have time, but as a Blues Brothers fan from back in the day I have to say you've done the boys proud. :D

What would be good for glasses?

Yeah Buck I've been doing the same. And I collect many other little odds and ends as well. Boy does my wife LOVE that habit. :D Of course it does come in handy. I also keep a variety of plastic items on hand for raw materials. Empty pudding containers, butter dishes, McDonald's drink cups, ice...

need a one of a kind puppet?

Hey CB! There are a number of good photo hosting sites that will allow you to easily upload photos and instantly create a link to them that you can share here. I and many others have used this site and others like it when sharing photos here at MCF. http://photobucket.com/ Here's another...

What would be good for glasses?

As one of the "old men" of MCF I have a need for reading glasses these days. Now I wouldn't suggest you buy these at Walgreens or something like that as they can be rather pricey. When I shop for myself or a puppet I look at Target and some grocery stores which occasionally have reading glasses...

    Puppeteer's Resources Links

Buying any of the Project Puppet kits will teach you more than just about any book I've been able to find. I especially recommend any of the Forma series. If you print out the instructions and put them in a three ring binder you've got yourself a book! The Foam Book is an excellent book that...

Furry Puppet custom built puppet for sale

Yes, that is truly a wonderful puppet! Sadly all my funds must go to construction materials for now until I either begin making some $ with my puppets or (heaven forbid!) go out and get a "real" job.

    Erect ears

I've only made ears that required something like that once so far. I used a combination of wire and plastic. It was a firm yet pliable steel wire that I bought at a Home Depot sort of store. The plastic was from a large McDonalds drink cup. I used hot glue to glue the wire to the top edge of the...
