Those comics actually started in 1973.

He had a TV series at one point.
Saw that comic floating around. Weird to see Big Bird with an Angry Bird...with Woodstock.

Something to also keep in mind. Wasn't TMS, since it was made the way it was with the idea of it being syndicated and picked up by other networks in the states, and because it didn't really have backing from any of the big three in any capacity, doesn't that make a bit of...
CGI Could work though. How do we all feel about Sid the Science Kid and Dino Train? Haven't they fared pretty well? Imagine Henson's Digital Puppetry studios getting involved and doing digital puppets of the Muppet Babies. That'd be awesome.
Or..maybe I just want to see baby Waldo C. Graphic...I...
Different strokes for different folks here guys. I'm sure there are those who don't even have TV or cable hookups and are all digital streaming, while some are sole TV watchers. I'm sure more often than not we're a mixed bag. I dunno if switching to streaming is a bad thing except the audience...
But again, it's not theirs to post. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I'll say the amount of UK episodes that are accounted for now is astonishing. Only what, 7 episodes missing out of 96? That's awesome.
There may be some legal reasons as to why. Copyright, or maybe the copy is private and was meant for just one or a select group of people. It is a shame but sometimes red tape is hard to cut though. If you understand what I mean.
I just think of the ones I put out anymore as video sketches on a napkin. I just toss them up to see if people like them. You don't have to delete yours DrTooth if you don't want. Could always just delete the offending comments.
Jim Henson and I share birth dates (sept. 24), and he's been one of my greatest influences on my work, I feel. I'd recommend all of you find and read Brian Jay Jones' Jim Henson bio if you can. Jim's done so many things, and foresaw some of the ways the industry was changing. Though he may be...
I'm just not understanding why it needs to be gloom and doom. Yes I know the show did not get renewed and yes I understand there's some frustration that the petition did not work. I'm sure those who lurk the boards who work for the company and for the Muppets saw and it touched them.
But it was...
Some are. That's why it's hard to please anyone. As you pointed out also, there's not much difference to me either with the different projects. It's the Muppets being themselves in different environments and stories. The show was aimed more for teens and adults and that's fine. I'm sure some...
That would be a bit extreme though wouldn't it? I mean sure, they haven't done as much as we the fans would have liked (still no Season's 4/5 of TMS), but maybe that's not the answer.
I kind of feel, no matter WHICH company the Muppets are a part of, they may still have this ratings turn out. I...
We were excited though. The Muppets and the performers and crew got a chance to collaborate and work together in front of the camera again. They got to make millions of people happy, even if only for a while. Wasn't that Kermit's goal at the end of TMM? I have a feeling this show, or the hype...
I'll PM. Be willing to trade or work out a deal. I figure a book like that is not hard to come by, wouldn't want you to do it for nothin.
Swell of you! Message you soon.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that many of the shows created are products of their time. We love watching them but, to be honest, many of them have a quality to them all their own and we know what decade and time period they come from. Maybe they are too topical for their own good? Granted...
Just because a show is done doesn't mean the Muppet's are dead. Far from it. The ones closest to the characters and material, and those of us who watch and read and make art and stories inspired by said characters, the legacy will live on. Just like there will be another sunrise, there will be...
I'm bummed out it didn't get renewed but if I may say, what I think is worse is seeing people badmouth ABC and Disney and say things like "Jim's rolling in his grave". (Mostly on FB). Like I understand we're upset, and the whole team, performers et. all, made a huge risk doing this show in the...
If someone can rename this to Colbynfriend's art thread for me that would be awesome.
Last night I decided to model this guy in Blender (freeware 3D program, really nice!) Anyone remember him?
