Yeah, I'm happy that hasn't become a regular theme, especially with their movies.
I'll say you put up a much better defense for MTI than I could. It's been many months since I last sat through it and while it's good overall and has great moments, for some reason, it doesn't stick out to me as...
I would most likely consider Muppets from Space to be the worst of the Muppets’ theatrical films, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s absolutely horrible. I caught an airing of it on the Hub relatively recently, and I didn’t hate it as much as I thought I was going to. I do give it credit for its...
I haven't posted my thoughts on this episode yet, but I recently put up a piece on deviantART which is based on the one thing that really stood out to me about the show's street story. Here's a link to my artwork, titled "El-Mo and The Count."
To expand on what I wrote there, all of the cast...
Not to divert the topic too much, but what strikes me is that Sesame Street seems to do more original Muppet photo-shoots than Disney does; especially recently with their new DVD covers:
Incidentally, all of these DVDs are compilations of older material, and while all of the covers have...
So according to an A.V Club interview, Tom Kenny is voicing Bullwinkle in the upcoming short. While he's admittedly one of my favorite voice actors, I don't think he would've been anyone's first recast choice (why not Frank Welker?). But, what's funny is that apparently he didn't even want to...
Don't mean to butt my head in, but that wasn't what Drtooth was saying either. He was saying that lazily-Photoshoped movie posters like this are everywhere, and it isn't something that only Disney's been doing. The bunch of us agree that this poster is not as good as it could or should be, and...
Here's my general answer (which I'm highlighting partly in white, because SPOILERS! :p )
According to a tweet by Matt Vogel, the street story was taped on December 14, 2012 (after Jerry's death and Kevin's departure). Despite this, both Kevin and even Jerry are heard voicing their respective...
Some of the characters at the bottom of the poster (Animal, Sam, etc.) look too ...illustrated; or, most likely, Photoshoped, and not in a very good way. Their eyes especially look unsettiling (like they were simply beveled and embossed). :scary:
Also, anyone else suprised to see Foo-Foo...
I watched a bit of the segment yesterday; it's still Kevin performing Elmo BTW, given that they produced the ETM segments in early 2012. I would take an educated guess and say that the Mr. Johnson statue probably was added after the segment was completed and Jerry had passed away. If it was...
I personally think Eric is terrific as Guy Smiley, and I've noticed that in recent years he's become more used to performing him and sounding more like Jim. The voice does lack that certain gruffness that Jim had, but if anything, Eric can accurately capture Guy's frenetic energy.
Honestly...
Nope, it will air on Halloween. However, (and I don't want to blow anything here, but...) the street story and segments for an upcoming episode are usually posted on the Sesame website approx. a week before it airs on TV, so for impatient viewers you may only have to wait until next week. :batty:
Yeah, that is kind of a warning sign considering that the last 90-minute Muppet special was 2005's MWoOz. I don't doubt that this will be better than that lame crapshoot (more than likely, we won't have to wait 20 minutes or so for the first Muppet to appear), but still, there's only so much you...
How'd I know Elton John would get into this picture? Ah well. I don't have much of an opinion on Gaga, but I guess I can see this working as well as John's appearance on The Muppet Show. Hopefully, the special will live up to those hefty expectations :coy:
I love classic Sesame Street as much as the next person, but honestly, I couldn't care less if they televised the vintage sketches or not, because most of the ones we love and remember are online for viewing anytime (plus Sesame does continue to include old segments on new DVD releases). Just...
Huh. Since we're just hearing about this now (hardly two months before the Christmas season), I'd agree with Oscarfan's latter theory and assume this could be a Lady Gaga special with The Muppets as guests. It sure feels like the Cee-Lo Green thing all over again. :smirk:
