Man, I loved Between the Lions as a kid. I remember my teacher actually played a VHS of it in class in elementary school. It kinda felt like a slighty more mature Sesame Street.

I remember watching the 8th season which is now a decade-old. I thought that was the final season but then they came back three years later in 2013 for a 9th and they've been churning out more seasons ever since then.

I agree. They were working out the kinks and things were getting better. Its ratings weren't even that bad when compared to some other renewed shows.

I remember hoping this would come out back in 2013 but now it's 2020 & pretty obvious there's no real chance. Wish they could at least put muppet show and muppets tonight on streaming.

I dreaded Caroll Spinney's death for a while but unfortunately it was inevitable. Having both Juice WRLD and Caroll Spinney die on the same day was a massive mood killer on that Sunday. RIP to both.

Wow, so this is really it for Arthur? Kinda shocking tbh, seems like one of those shows that should go on forever. Used to despise the new flash-animation episodes but I honestly don't even think they're that bad now after taking a peek every now and then when my little brother would watch...

If they can release the first 3 seasons of The Muppet Show on DVD, I don't see why they couldn't put them on Disney+. Wouldn't they already have had the rights to those seasons? They could have at least added Muppets Tonight. It would probably by far easier to clear the rights to that.

Does anyone else have problems with The Muppets ABC series? I watched some episodes in the morning and I looked now to see if it was there & it's gone. Very strange.

Maybe we would (as in actual muppet fans), but even if they made a show as good as TMS, I doubt it would be a success on primetime tv.

For the most part, I feel like the 2015 series did a good job at that (pre-reboot).

Muppets Tonight came at a time when the muppets were in a disarray. With main characters like Kermit neglected & minor ones like Clifford put in the spotlight, it simply had no appeal to mainstream viewers. Personally, I think it was a solid series.
