Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Sometimes it feels like, besides the (still) underground Muppet online fanbase(us, tough pigs, etc) that Disney are the only other Muppet diehard obsessive fans. It just feels like the public by and large doesn't seem as into them as Disney higher ups and us.
Yeah please do not get me wrong...
Earlier in the year I penned a thread called "Disney is Doing everything Right".
Well...as we head into the SIXTY year anniversary of the Muppets, it now feels like
we're back to square one.
- As we head into the holiday retail season, despite two newer Muppet films there will
be virtually no...
Yeah def can't wait for "TURTLE POWER" TMNT history documentary. I'll definitely preorder the dvd.
NOW....Dr Tooth...you ready to vomit?
Check out TMNT 2014 trailer 2.

annoying dubstep? check

Very disappointing to hear. Though not surprising. Disney just is not too interesting in making merchandise for the Muppets, be it for their own places or for other stores. Let's face it, 2003-2005 was pretty much the last time we were treated well as Muppet collectors. :(
Selling a lot of hard to find/rare Muppet Show and Sesame Street figures/figurines

oh wow! hardcore. Someone uploaded just the muppets portion which clocked in at about 2 hours and I was able to burn it on dvd-r. Really great stuff! (especially compared to the Lady Gaga fiasco or the Disney channel stuff)
Jazwares dropped the ball by trying to be the modern day Palisades. They tried gobbling up every classic property under the sun(like Nickelodeon) and it all imploded. I picked up the Nick figures for a $1.50 each on clearance. They definitely dropped the ball on the Sonic line by focusing...
I still cannot get into the cgi TMNT show, between the quick edit vibe and the look of the cg itself. But I will say a lot of the toys look great. Once again April O'neil looks like she's out of the late 90s/early 2000s(they gave April Oneil beige bellbottoms in 2003...ugh) but the villain toys...
Studio DC/Disney tween show crossover episodes and Lady Gaga were painful to watch. However I really loved Letters To Santa. My only issue is it was too short, but I loved it much more than the 2002 "AVMMCM". (I refuse to even acknowledge the existence of Muppet Oz:)
Finally we can agree on something:) I don't even have a flat screen, so a blu ray player would be useless. I dont need to see Tom Cruise's pores...and the issue I see with flat screens and blu ray is on some films, it completely strips the film illusion away. And youre left watching a movie that...
I said this in 2011 and 2012 and I'll say this now: I have zero intention on buying a blu ray player and I think its BALONEY that they charge the same for dvds as they do blu ray discs yet put no extras on the dvd. Its not right. I remember buying in 2002 the Monsters Inc 2-disc set and it had a...
The two best comedies on tv are on ABC(Modern Family and The Goldbergs) Having a new Muppet show would make it the three best comedies on tv being on ABC:)
You are very right. While I think in the context of the interview Stoller is referring to the box office, I agree about different aspects to the definition of a "flop" includes general buzz and critical reviews. (tho sometimes well reviewed movies are giant flops)
Even if they filmed a pilot none of us should be excited til we see a tvguide.com listing and trailer for it. As even an official announcement doesnt mean it will reach fruition. They filmed several pitches and pilots for "new Muppet tv shows" in the last decade that never saw the light of day...
I just saw (the incredibly lame) Spiderman 2, and with it the 3d second trailer for the new ninja turtles film. Really not feeling it. I not only hate the creepy weird tmnt faces, but the color palette, cinematography and actor choices all rub me the wrong way.
@DrTooth:
Here's something. Have you seen the new Mcdonalds and Carls Jr(AKA Hardees) Marvel action figures for their kid's meals? My gosh...these look worse than Mexican bootleg dollar store figures. Such a far cry from the amazing quality and feel of late 90s/early 2000s kids meal fast food...
After years of Bandai/Popco/Goldie re-releasing the same Mario vinyl figures for the last near decade, Im so excited that Jakks is unleasing "World of Nintendo"...something Ive been waiting a lifetime for. Essentially this year into next year we're FINALLY going to get countless Nintendo figures...
