least favorite things about the best DVDs

Here's something else that just bugs the heck outta me. On the Beast Wars season 1 set, it doesn't have the full opening theme, it's a shortened version. Now I'm extremely happy to have my favorite cartoon show on DVD but the shortened season 1 opening bugs me. Maybe I'm still not used to it...

TMS season sets: who should be on discs?

First of all, I'd prefer it if the season 1 discs had pictures of the older versions of Kermit, Gonzo, etc. and not modern ones but it's not that important. Anyway: Season 2- Disc 1: Scooter, Disc 2: Rowlf, Disc 3: Statler and Waldorf, Disc 4: Crazy Harry Season 3- Disc 1: Sam the Eagle...

    Uncle Deadly review

As usual, a great review! (I say that EVERY time :p but it's always true :) ). As soon as I can I will definitely be ordering the signature version of Uncle Deadly, I always go for the sig. versions, that's just the kinda crazy kid I am ;) . Will you be reviewing the penguins soon too? I've...

    Statler & Waldorf on movies.com

As usual it was really funny. Steve does such an excellent job with Statler in my opinion. Is Bill doing every guest character? So far it's been Pepe, Rowlf, and Johnny (plus Pepe in the bonus) and those are all characters now performed by Bill. We need some more characters like the Floyd or...

Just saw Labyrinth for the first time

Last weekend I rented Labyrinth for the first time ever. All I can say is... WOW! It's such an amazing movie. I think I like it better than Dark Crystal (which I also saw for the first time a few weeks ago). The songs were great and so was the cast. The puppetry work was beautiful. It's movies...

least favorite things about the best DVDs

I gotta agree with Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island not being in widescreen  Why would you release PART of a movie? :boo: I hate how the Muppet Family Christmas DVD is edited. I hate the editing of anything :attitude: And something most people probably don't care...

    Value of Muppet Collectibles

There were three different versions of Johnny. The pinstripe version (the signature version) came with a picture of himself and an album with the words "Johnny we hardly heard ya" on it. The maroon/purplish version came with a picture of his mama and the album with Zoot on it. The silver version...

Is there anything good about KSY?

It's not great.. but some of Kermit's swamp friends are pretty cool, and there's a reference to Arnie the Alligatro (remember him from The Muppet Movie?) and my favorite part: a Statler and Waldorf cameo! I think those are the only characters Jerry Nelson and Dave Goelz perform.

how you rank the muppets tonight characters

I never saw an episode of Muppets Tonight!, but because of movies like Muppets From Space I became familiar with the characters. I don't really know how I would rate 'em, but I DO know I would've taken a figure of Bobo or Sal over Dr. Phil van Neuter...

Emmet Otter Special Edition coming to DVD

I don't know if I've ever seen Emmet Otter but I do know who he is (one of the songs was on my Sing-A-Long tape when I was older). I probably won't get the DVD but hearing about how they cut out Kermit just plain stinks :boo: :sympathy: I hate the editing of ANYthing  , unless it's for...

    RC Kermit now available!

I ordered one for myself a couple days ago, along with Super Grover and Treasure Island Gonzo and Rizzo. I also just joined the Collector's Club and chose Gonzo w/ chickens. Now all I gotta do is wait

    Disney's Muppet Merchandise

The nearest Disney Store by me has nothing Muppets. I went the other day to try and find some Muppet shirts but couldn't find any. There was nothing Muppety there. I did get 6 great non-Muppet shirts for a great deal though :D

Your Thoughts: The Muppets' Wizard of Oz

Omg! That would've been PERFECT! It was Bobo's role in Muppets From Space that made me a Bobo fan! :D

Something I've been wondering about Bean

In "The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson" Bean was running the projector and he messed up and got the film all over him. Funny stuff :D

Have you watched Muppets Wizard of Oz again?

I've only watched it twice. I don't plan on watching it again until I get the DVD 'cause I just don't like watching tapes on my 20-year-old VCR.

    Where to start?

Best advice I can give to all just starting: GOOD LUCK! :D I mean, I had trouble finding these Muppets when they were around but now (for me anyway) it would be impossible. Fortunately great sites like ebgames.com and omgcnfo.com had them most of the time so I WAS able to get them. I was...

    MFS-disappointment!

Personally I thought Muppets From Space was great. Not as good as the stuff from when Jim was alive or Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, but still good. I thought Jeffrey Tambor was excellent in the movie. Bobo had a great role too, and it's that movie that made him one of my...
