They need to bring back the old McDonald characters again.

    R.I.P. John Hughes

2009 sucks! We're losing everybody! :sympathy: This is so sad. I really did like John Hughes' movies. I really did enjoy The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Nalt. Lampoon's Vacation, and as 'Snowth mentioned, the Home Alone movies (the first two to be exact).

    Waiting for Season 40

Lol yeah. Sesamstrasse kind of reminds of how SS would be today if it hadn't changed it's entire format and listened to all those soccer moms & 'curriculum people'. For instance, I like what they're doing with Ernie & Bert over there. Having them out in the real world and remaking classic...

Has Big Bird lost his appeal?

Please keep in mind that Muppet performers usually PERFORM and do the character voices. So Frank would also have to perform the Big Bird suit. Lol how did this subject come up?:p

cartoons and kid shows live on stage

Lol funny. I remember every year when I went as a child that before the show would start, I would cover my ears (and sometimes) would close my eyes! The opening used to scare me! And then you have this big 8-foot yellow canary walking out on stage! What's a kid to do?:D You're referring to...

cartoons and kid shows live on stage

Thought I'd bump this thread, since I didn't really want to start another whole thread about this: Someone posted 3 parts of Dragon Tales Live on Youtube!:D I actually remember this show, 'Missing Music Mystery', I first saw in 2001 and a revived version in 2005. While the clips do bring back...

    Waiting for Season 40

Oh yeah. Just take a look at Sesamstrasse. And their show is 30 min in total. Look how many segments they're still able to fit in.

    Sarcasm on Sesame Street?

Watch 'Elmo's Song' again and read some of peoples Youtube comments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSYadh2xmcI&feature=related Honestly? Big Bird is 6 and Snuffy is 5, they're too young to even know what sarcasm is!:p And did anyone notice the negative remarks toward Snuffy and Big Bird? (ex...

Is Sloppy Sixes a Real Game?

Appearantly it seems like something the writers came up with. I've found nothing on it either. Than again, I'm not much of a card-game player myself, Lol.

    Waiting for Season 40

Agreed. I would have no problem with them two sketches if SS had still did it's "Laugh-In" format and was more freewheeling like it once was. And if they produced more episodes. That's really a big factor in all this, not enough episodes. On a side note, as someone had mentioned in another...

    Rumor: Abby gets own segment

LOL. I imagine that's what 'Big Bird' is actually thinking too!:D It's really sick though. I mean, now I DON'T want to watch Season 40. But again, I cannot judge anything yet, since nothing has aired. This may be good, or this may be really bad. But I'm sick of CGI! Really! It's taking away...

    Waiting for Season 40

That's it...there's no easy way to say this, but Sesame Street has officially jumped the shark. Ladies and gents, SS is now officially the "Elmo & Abby Caddaby Show", with occasional appearances by Oscar, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird. Now, I'm not judging this yet, since this segment might...

Goodbye Gidget the Taco Bell Chihuahua

I knew I was forgetting someone. It's so many, which is so sad. But really, as much as I am greiving for the other families, the most unexpected had to have been Michael Jacksons. The dude was JUST rehearsing the night before, excited about his upcoming tour, and then he's gone the next...

Your Thoughts: Square Roots: The Story of SpongeBob SquarePants

Yeah, I agree. It was kinda a JTS momment, but, it still was a decent show. Really? I never was into that show, but that does sound like a bad idea, Lol. Yeah, I used to catch a glimpse of a couple of them eps, but never fully watched them. The animation wasn't the same, and the designs looked...

    Waiting for Season 40

No, I'm pretty sure it will still start Monday. Lol, I know. It's a shame they won't make some big primetime speicial. At least, they're not announcing any plans of doing it. I HATE to brag or anything(hehe), but I really did come up of a good idea for a 40th anniversary special some months...

Oscar at Pete Seeger's 90th Birthday Concert!

Yeah it does look different, but I could've sworn I read somewhere where it said that Caroll Spinney still uses the same Oscar puppet from the first season. They only touch it up every now and then. So my question is, is this in fact all true and if so, do they even make a puppet for outside...
