Yeah exactly. I've been having that feeling too for a while.
I don't want to stop supporting the franchise either, and I'm glad they're gonna do the Hollywood Bowl. But that's really it for them this year right??
I mean it would be awesome if they announced a new movie or Netflix show...
It's not that I didn't like Denise, but I wanted more from her than just being Kermit's girlfriend for 3 episodes. There could of been more from her than that.
I will give the writers credit that they didn't make Piggy jealous or mad at Denise for dating Kermit. They could of easily did that...
Yeah like I know after the show got cancelled, Kermit did say at Vulture Festival that things were the same with the breakup. So nothing really got resolved.
I'd like something to be addressed in the future.
Also Edit: But with Kermit having this reputation of being depressed, look at it from...
This is exactly what I was trying to say. I'm just really bad at wording haha.
But yeah of course no one is Jim, but that doesn't mean they have to be a cardboard copy of him. Steve added something different to the character that I personally loved and I hope Matt can add something different...
While I do agree with Green Hoodie's post and it does deserve more than 1 like, I still don't know if I can move on yet and accept a new Kermit now.
Not until I see something. Anything from Matt performing him. I had mentioned my strong connection to the character of Kermit, and maybe if it was...
Yeah I probably need to watch it again, but even I thought it was Steve performing Statler.
But Steve would of been fired by then, so I guess it was Peter. I need to hear it.
Nothing really happened with their appearance, but I wasn't expecting much from them either since last year the same thing happened.
Although, I did like Fozzie appearing with Josh Gad and Statler and Waldorf heckling them. It was a surprise, but again not much.
All I've been doing lately is watching the SDCC Panel video for the 2015 show and just seeing how much fun the performers were having and just wishing none of this happened and that would still continue.
Just watching the video still cheers me up even after these events.
Yeah and I like I said before, we'll probably see Matt performing Kermit at the Hollywood Bowl..unless they just have Kermit there without a speaking/singing part like in the Thanksgiving Day Parade, but I don't think they would do that now.
We already know he's been recast so..just post it...
Like what Mo Frackle said about Clifford, I didn't actually know Clifford and Pepe weren't original Muppets. I just assumed Pepe was part of the cast without knowing his real introduction was Muppets Tonight. I had just accepted that they were there from the start, not new characters that were...
I just had a dream last night about Matt Vogel's Kermit finally debuting on a new Muppet video promoting a new web series they were gonna do, but he wasn't gonna appear in it. Kind of strange??
In my dream, he sounded like a combination of Jim Henson/Steve Whitmire's voice. It was so weird...
Yeah, in my eyes, no one is the winner in this situation.
Both sides are to blame, and I still don't know if this is for best yet. We still don't have any proof on that.
I'm still ashamed of myself that my first introduction to The Muppets was through D.C. Almost Live because I loved seeing them interacting with my favorite celebrities of the time, and watching those specials now, they were as great as I remembered them.
Also, since Piggy and Kermit became my...
I heard somewhere that they're re-recording the video, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. I mean I assume Matt will be performing Kermit at the Hollywood Bowl?
Oh, I didn't know Peter was doing Ernie now! I really don't keep up with the Sesame Street projects.
It's kind of throwing me...
I just wanted to say that I saw Muppets Most Wanted on opening day because I was SO excited to see it and the theater was packed.
It made the experience for me better because it made it realized there were Muppet Fans out there and got into some conversations with them while waiting in line.
Like someone else said, even if they have no plans for The Muppets right now, they have to recast Kermit no matter what.
I'm still thinking about their future even with the recast and how changing Kermit's character is somehow going to help. I still have that worry inside that they're gonna...
