Why aren't older Sesame Street shows rerun?

Well, some PBS stations do air more old shows than others, but not SS, unfortunately. Also, it's the minor ones that air more old shows, and not so much the major ones. Especially the Rhode Island PBS station, which I receive here. I've seen educational programming during the day where they even...

    Petey

Actually, his name is spelled Piri. I actually didn't know for awhile, but I got a copy of a non-Noggin episode from 1986, show 2173, which is closed-captioned, and that's how I found out.

The Baker Falling Down the Stairs Series

I recently found out the last this series was used was in Season 19, which was the time that lots of stuff was last used.

    Sesame Street Goes To Mexico

Yes, that was Season 23 when they went to Montana, shows 2882-2885 And I think it was NEW Mexico that they went to, not Mexico, and that was Season 7, shows 810-815.

    Red-hot letter "I"

I bet it IS called "I-Beam"! That's very interesting, because I once had the lady at the SS music department look up something in a show about a Kerosene Lamp, and she did come across a segment called "I-Beam." I bet that's it!

Where is the guy who always goes to Charlie's Restaurant?

I noticed that too, and I remember one where they both yell at each other, the one where there's a fly in the soup. Also, I remember another one where Grover got exhausted, where Fat Blue can't decide on the soup or the sandwich. I've also noticed that starting in Season 20, they started to...

Why aren't older Sesame Street shows rerun?

Been there, done that. I have called ALL the PBS stations that I get on cable, and they all said the same thing. I was actually upset when they all did away with the afternoon airings of the show years ago, and I called and complained, and they never did a thing about it. But unfortunately...

    An Idea 4 A Parody

That's very interesting, because the real Larry King is going to be on this season, and he will interview "W".

    When does Season 35 start?

You know, I don't know. But I mean, even just a few years ago, the show was quite different than it is now. I mean, it had Elmo's World and all that, but they still broke up the street scene with inserts, and they think that's too dated, unfortunately.

    When does Season 35 start?

I agree! But unfortunately, I think that they think that kids would be too confused, in fact, they probably would be. And you know what? As far as I know, they NEVER had reruns of Sesame Street from previous seasons on PBS. As a matter of fact, they never did anywhere, until Noggin.

    Does anyone remember Alphabet Chat?

I actually did an Alphabet Chat parody, which was a letter 'Q' version, where Hilary Duff tries to take over the show, but many people didn't find it interesting.

What's the Name of that Song DVD

I think the version with Bip Bipodatta is pretty much gove forever. We'll never be seeing any of that rare stuff again, because they don't think that people care as much as we do.
