    More Electric Company Memories

I remember that one, too! After all that laughing, he turned to Luis and said, "I don't get it." :) That's another one I'd like to see again.

    Bob McGrath's singing

I'm not sure if it's online, but there's at least one solo "pre-Sesame" album by Bob titled "Mitch Miller presents Bob McGrath". You may be able to find a copy on eBay or a used record site.

    Bob McGrath's singing

Apparently Bob had quite a fan following in Japan (this is mentioned briefly in the Sesame St. Unpaved book). There are a few U.S. artists who have found extra fame in Japan, including the Carpenters. I know Bob has done some "solo" albums here in the U.S., but does anybody have any info. about...

    More Electric Company Memories

I remember that one! The original version of "Punctuation" was shown on the Noggin episodes, but the version you described is the one I remember from watching the show back in the late 70s. I'd enjoy seeing it again, too. I haven't heard anything definite yet about a E.C. volume 3, though.

    What are your non-muppet obsessions?

I'm interested in all sorts of things, so I hesitate to call them "obsessions." "Interests" is probably more accurate, or maybe "things I like to think about once in a while," but that's kind of long. :) But here are a few of mine: Star Wars films Phantom of the Opera (the musical/movie)...

    Remember these PBS funding credits?

Starting in the 1980s or so, my local station would announce a sponsor for Sesame Street just before the show began. At first it was a local credit union, then later on it became Play Co. Toys. I guess it's possible that Mentos and Duracell were also sponsoring local PBS programming.

    Trading Sesame Street Episodes

Hi Jonnytbird- I just sent you an e-mail about a possible trade. Please let me know if you didn't get it. Thanks! :)

    Fave SST Songs

Man, oh man. :) There are so many favorites for me that I actually consider "Sesame Street" to be an "artist" himself in my lists of favorite musicians. If you looked through my fictional collection, you'd find "Sesame Street music" alongside the Beatles, John Denver, etc. As such, any list I...

    Name that detective

Thanks Drtooth- another Sesame mystery solved! It reminds me of "Mathnet" with Officer Monday from Square One TV, as well as the great Sesame muppet skit with Sgt. Thursday and partner looking for the letter "W."

    Name that detective

I recently saw a clip from Sesame St. featuring a young girl playing a detective-type character. She wore a fedora and trenchcoat, the way detectives in the old movies do. She was there with a young boy (her brother, maybe?) trying to solve a case of some kind. My question is: what's the name of...

    A&E Sesame Street Documentary Reairing

I'm guessing that was for any teachers who might be taping the show for their classes. Maybe they've extended the "deadline" on it now for other classes. (Noggin once showed some Unpaved episodes with a "cable in the classroom" promo at the beginning, encouraging teachers to tape the shows for...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

I've had a similar problem when I watch YouTube clips on the computer with the very, very slow Internet connection. Sometimes the computer stops loading the clip before it is even finished. If you have the same problem when loading up non-Sesame Street clips, then it sounds like an Internet...

    A&E Sesame Street Documentary Reairing

The A&E network will rerun its excellent Sesame St. documentary in two parts on the mornings of January 2 and 3. It's at 4 a.m. over here, but please check your local listings for the exact time in your area.

Sesame Street Unpaved episodes you'd like to have on DVD

In a perfect world, I'd like to get them all on DVD. :) Virtually all of them had some good points. But I'd like to see the uncut "Hawaii" episodes as well. (There's another thread in the "Sesame Street" section suggesting that they put out all the "trips" (New Mexico, Hawaii, etc.) on DVD sets...

Remember these details of early 1990s episodes?

I don't remember the first time "I heard my dog bark" aired, but that particular clip was used again in various Sesame St. episodes later through the 90's.

kermit and don music shared a house!

I would hope so! I always thought that Kermit might have the right to sue Don if he didn't give him credit! :)

    Todays Music

I have a friend in his 20s who prefers the music of Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles to today’s music. He feels that "his generation" has not had much very good music. I think that’s a significant comment when you consider that he‘s just about the age that many people are trying to "market" their...

    Favorite Rankin-Bass Christmas Special

They've done so many that it really is hard to pick a favorite. I like all the ones you listed, though, as well as "Frosty's Winter Wonderland" and "Nestor, the long-eared Christmas donkey." Also, they've got some great songs in all those specials! A few years ago they came out with a CD...
