    Cool Counting Collection: MC Style

Now for a few post-fic notes: Almost everything from the trailer and description is still included, to look as accurate as possible. Luckily, not too much was spoiled by that stuff. Unlike the real Cool Counting Collection, only one of each NOTD song is included. One single digit, one low...

    Cool Counting Collection: MC Style

I didn’t think about that until it was too late. Since I was nearly out of time when I did, I ultimately just decided on your suggestion for Miami Mice at the end, and picked the most obvious choice for the beginning. I’d say I would. Doesn’t make sense for them to be somewhere else when...

    Cool Counting Collection: MC Style

Well, you guys (mostly @minor muppetz and me) voted, and now, I think we’ve created a better version of SST’s newest DVD, Cool Counting Collection. In order, here’s what I’ve arranged the most popular, most marketable, most likely on Sesame Workshop’s part, and also a few of my favorite segments...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

The closest I ever got were school trips to the zoo (to learn about animals, obviously), a park (again, to learn about nature), and a movie theater (to see a nature documentary on bears). All had an underlying educational purpose, and I’m not even gonna mention the career centers.

Halloween is just around the corner

(sigh) It’s still July, and a Halloween store already opened up on Polaris Parkway. I guess I’m kicking the thread off this year.

I never saw those as a kid.

Sketches You Hated as a Kid

Y’know, despite creating this thread, I haven’t added much to it since its inception. Until today… Though for some reason, I didn’t mind the #4 version.

I love the description for this upload:

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

I never understood why they had 2 separate segments doing basically the same thing airing simultaneously (3 if you include Ernie’s Show and Tell).

Sounds interesting. If you ever get around to it, I’d love to see what you come up with.

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

Well, them and Elmo (That was the season EW started).

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

There’s probably a reason that list of retired SST Muppets from a few years back didn’t include him.

    The "You know what?" thread

Honestly, the special’s biggest fault was that it marketed itself as an anniversary special, when in reality, it was closer to a filmed press release. The whole deal was mostly about introducing these new characters and their place in season 52 (which hasn’t been released yet). Maybe you’d like...

    Sesame Workshop/Shout! Factory Deal

You know how disappointed we all were with Cool Counting Collection and it’s lack of variety (especially in comparison to its Alphabet-themed counterpart)? Well, after a bit of thinking, I created this Google Form where you can vote for your favorite segments for each number, and the ones that...

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

I’ve been needing a new iPad for a while now (the one I’m using now is over 6 years old, and Apple discontinued support for it years ago), and it finally came yesterday! However, it’ll take a while to set the whole thing up. My dad is planning on doing it over the weekend. Still, soon I’ll have...

Songs where we're more familiar with covers than the originals

Tiffany’s big hit “I Think We’re Alone Now” was originally recorded by Tommy James and the Shondells over 20 years prior. Strangely, though, I heard the Shondells’ version years before I listened to Tiffany’s in full.

Songs where we're more familiar with covers than the originals

To each their own. I was always way more familiar with Jett’s “Bad Reputation”. In fact, until you said otherwise, I thought it was the one in Shrek. On top of that, “I Love Rock n Roll” itself is a cover. It was originally sung by the Arrows.
