Unfortunately, I have no patterns and didn't think to make any...........I simply did them by eye only. I just keep messing with it until it looks like a muppet if you know what I mean. I plan on doing another Animal one day and I will definitely make a pattern during the construction phase...

Here is another tip on mouths............when you cut your foam or foamboard, draw the visible part of the mouth as you see it on your favorite muppet, then add about 1/2 inch extra all around the pattern. This will be covered up by the head/body fabric and glued in place with fabric glue or...

I supplied a local professional puppet maker with my old Fisher Price Animal from the 70's and she made the puppet. I have heavily altered his head though and I plan on doing more to accurize him. Yes his eyelids do move.........a very cool feature. He is also a rod puppet. Dave :)
