Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I got a friend to watch the show a day late. she looked it up online to watch. She didn't want to watch it unless I gave it a favorable review. She really enjoyed it so we got another person ready and willing to see it. :D
I wonder if Robin will appear on the show? I'd like to see Kermit's...
^ huh maybe it just doesn't bug me because her innocents was so cute. I would hate to see what they would do to Jeannie if they rebooted the show. D: Hey at least Jeannie only had eyes for her "master" as for nostalgia for Jeannie I was not around when that show first aired. I'm only in my 20s...
Yeah me too. She can make a show for adults without swearing like a drunken sailor or having excessive sex and stuff. Shows like I Dream of Jeannie didn't have either or it was real subtle and it was hilarious and for adults.
Of course I'll probably have some people telling me to suck it up and...
Hey can we have a moment in the show where kermit DOES the arm waving hysterical thing? I always enjoyed it when he does that. I found it cute and funny how excited he'd get about stuff.
I hope we get more goofy antics though. The thing with pepe and rizzo doing the dancing thing was the kind of weird random humor they're known for and I'd love to see more of it. It's always been my favorite thing about the muppets. The weird things they do. Or them doing a music number and it...
I'd still love to see if they give dr. teeth some plotline though I do NOT want them to give him a love interest. Yeah I know that sounds weird and it's not because I am a huge fan of him, it would just be weird.
The Zoot thing was amusing and kind of cute especially floyd's comment about them...
THIS story though is kind of annoying. http://www.theguardian.com/culture/2015/sep/01/kermit-denise-muppets-miss-piggy
Whoever wrote this seems to really hate kermit for some reason.
I just thought it seemed odder than usual. I tend to pay a good amount of attention to anything dr. teeth says because he's my favorite muppet. Maybe it's just been so long since he's had actual dialogue so it felt a little off.
Maybe it's just me but it felt kind of... short. Maybe it's due to more commercials airing now than back when the muppet show was on. It gives them less time to do things which is annoying. Why do we need so many commercials anyway?!
I enjoyed the premiere and even had a few laughs too but I got the impression they seemed a bit more.. well meaner than usual? I don't know. I'm sure it'll get better as time goes on. and is it just me or does dr teeth have a new outfit? It looks kind of... simple.
Also.. where in the world did...
oh good grief. let people be upset. it's like celebrities. like when your favorite hollywood couples break up. you get upset. it's not your life or anything but you still get upset.
