I liked the float this year! I had never heard this song before but I love how the adults had little solos in the songs too. I mean when was the last time Alan led a musical number?! I love leela's voice. But, anyone else notice that the float was quite crowded this year? There was like 50 kids...
To add to my above comments: So many people are picking all the tiniest flaws out of this movie, likely because the film could never live up to the amazing expectations we set for it throughout this time of Muppet Domination. That's fine, but I'm a little bit more simple. The Muppets are acting...
Obviously., I am a die-hard Muppet fanatic. Seeing The Muppets last night in the theater reminded me why. When I heard that one of the stars from my favorite sitcom was making a Muppet-comeback movie, I was ecstatic, then skeptical. The Muppets are a huge name, and 12 years had gone by since...
I'm now that much more excited to see this movie! I'm so glad we get this info. I have a few questions:
1. Does Thog have any speaking lines? I certainly hope so.
2. Were the celebrity cameos overdone? I feel like there were a lot of them and I don't want those to be an unecessarily huge part...
Plus, this was a closed set, so there was no extra things that they weren't expecting for Caroll to run into. For example in the streets of China and Japan, the sets weren't closed, so he needed to see where he was going directly.
I'll have to tell Caroll how well you guys think of him! I'm sure he will greatly appreciate it. I don't know his personal schedule for shooting the show or public appearances yet (I don't even think HE knows it yet), so I can't help you guys there. But, if you go to my Caroll fansite...
I think there should be at least one more principal character that is younger, like 15 or 16, seeing as Gabi is all in college and Miles fell off the face of the Earth. Children are exposed to that age group too, and what they deal with like finding summer jobs (Maybe Leela needs an extra pair...
Some street scene news:
I had the pleasure of sitting in on an episode filming to visit my friend Caroll Spinney. It was towards the end of their shooting season back in May so my money would be it will be apart of season 43, but still its an awesome episode. Big Bird and Snuffy are contestants...
All of these ideas sound awesome, but there are two things that are ABSOLUTELY a necessity! And those are:
- AN UNCUT DVD VERSION OF A MUPPET FAMILY CHRISTMAS
please Disney? Sesame Workshop? Anybody? I spent the entire year scowering the web and thrift shops for a decently priced copy of this...
Mystery Bird Revealed!
According to Alan Muraoka who took pics of the entire event, the man who was playing the Bird was...
NOEL MACNEAL
:wisdom::wisdom::wisdom:
Was it just me or were the actual MUPPETS not there like they said they would in the opening credits? I might have missed it, but I saw the Kermit balloon, and I was confused at the lack of :) and  and . Thoughts?
Big Bird
I loved the song they sung in the parade, and it was great to see all of the cast together (whereas last year when they had only 5 human characters) but I noticed Big Bird looked a little...wobbly. I don't know if it was Matt Vogel inside the Bird (Caroll never performs in the parade)...
Katy actually did poke fun at the situation in the very first sketch. She appeared as a sixteen-year-old girl who reads to little children at the public library who developed over the summer, with her breasts bulging out of an Elmo tee on a Bronx Beat sketch with Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph.
Hello!
I know these probably will go un-noticed by the writing staff of Sesame, but (as many of us know) there has been a drastic lack of a certain 8-foot-2 yellow bird on Sesame Street these days, and I was thinking of an episode that can include the Bird, as well as many characters. Here goes...
That is another reason why I don;t like this new MURRAY MURRAY MURRAY format. One of the reasons why Big Bird was featured prominently in season 39 is that he did some of the "introducing the letter/number of the day" sketches. That was a great way for characters who maybe don't get a lot of...
