    Happy Easter!

We decorated eggs (real and fake) with family, and of course had a brat cookout on Saturday. Was very pleasant.

    MST3k

Awww yiss. This is a worthy successor to the original! Jonah is charming, the jokewriting is excellent ("Reptilicus" was particularly wonderful), and Tom and Crow are still Tom and Crow. I can see that the puppeteers need a bit more practice (though so far I've only seen the first three eps, and...

The last TV show you watched was...

We've been bingeing "Travelers" today. Though I'm fairly sure I see some plot points seeded for future reaping, the characters and the premise are interesting, and so far the writers are managing to keep multiple balls in the air. Good recent scifi.

I have, but I don't mind answering! Nice to see you again! Although the smug, divorced, sensationalist-press Newsman in "the muppets" isn't how I choose to view the character, I accept that there's a basis for that in the original show portrayal. So, yeah, he's Newsie. He's just not MY...

Hmm. I haven't watched any since the 80s...really not a fan of forced humor or canned laughter, not to mention banal stereotypes pretending to be characters. Episodic humor shows I will watch: Rick & Morty, early Archer, Kimmy Schmidt.

The... -wait fer it-... "What made you laugh today?" Thread

MST3K: the reboot. We have seen 3 eps so far & love it: it has all the heart & wit of the original. "Reptilicus" was absolutely hilarious.

My fiance's father bought us 10 pairs of Endlers (a specific breed of livebearers we both love - small, peaceful, pretty fish). We'll raise them & he gets some of the offspring. Very cool. Found the perfect Easter gift for my sweetie & gave it to him today: a signed first edition of Patrick...

The Muppets (2015) One Year Later

We finally viewed the whole series over the past couple of months. I saw from the individual threads here that the show deeply polarized the MC community, and I don't want to retread arguments. But. Though I didn't care for the writers' take on the characters for the first few eps, I could see...

Mom is spiritually inclined, and mustering as much positive energy as she can. I'm not one for praying, but hey, sending good thoughts and hopes certainly can't hurt. Now...what about a penguin cannon?

Thanks for the good wishes, all. This might just be a bump in his road, but his health has been sinking the past couple of years. He's in his 80s, but until fairly recently was still the kind of guy who'd hike ten miles a day for fun, loaded down with photography equipment. That he's unhappy...
