Your Thoughts: "Muppets Most Wanted" Theatrical Film

For me, it's 2.5/3 stars. Not out of control amazing, but really good. It had some good jokes (Constantine was hilarious, Sam the Eagle/Ty combo was great) but there was still this element missing, something I can't really place. The performers were fantastic, as always, the directing was...

    "Muppets Take Manhatten" Revisited

It's a very Frank Oz movie. Kind of dark, a touch of cynicism, sweet-sadness. I really love this movie. I like GMC, but I love The Muppet Movie & MTM. They are tonally similar, where as GMC is kind of glitzy and bright.

What is your least favorite Muppet Movie?

I like elements of MWO, but it really is quite a bad movie for the Muppets. Granted, a bad Muppet movie is better than most "good" movies, but still... I expect better of them.

Muppets Most Wanted Box Office Numbers

Agreed, and frankly, in today's television world, that's the only way a show with the Muppets would succeed. The vaudeville shtick is cute, but it wouldn't secure a five season deal.

Muppets Most Wanted Box Office Numbers

But will the diminishing returns yield a third Muppet movie? Unlikely. Disney would be wise to jump into television.

Muppets Most Wanted Box Office Numbers

Exactly. Attendance numbers don't typically increase as theater time goes on. MMW will be lucky to break 45 million domestic. Hopefully the reaction in the international box office will be more welcoming, but even then, it's not likely Disney will be willing to make another huge gamble with...

Muppets Most Wanted Box Office Numbers

New York had spring break. So did Connecticut, NJ... It's not because of spring break, guys.

Muppets Most Wanted Box Office Numbers

I think The Muppets' next step will have to be television. Oscarfan said "movies aren't out for one week" but they do get pulled if they don't put arses in chairs. The fact is, The Muppets are unlikely to see a second revival on the screen if Disney decides not to do a third movie, at least not...

Muppets Most Wanted Box Office Numbers

Disagree. Divergent is basically just marketing. 2 hours of marketing. A collage of popular things thrown into one huge blockbuster package. The book sucks. The movie is awful. But people eat it up.

How full were you guys' theaters? I'm a little worried.

Your Thoughts: "Muppets Most Wanted" Theatrical Film

I think the problem was that children won't sit through a 120 minute Muppet film.

I feel like the last escape was a direct response to the fans whining about "fart shoes." Haha.

I found it weird, too. I remember a lot of reviewers complaining how underdeveloped Gary and Mary were.

    Muppets Most Wanted Press Reviews

^That was exactly what I thought of the negative reviews, actually. The audiences go to see Muppet movies for the Muppets; the human co-stars are bonuses. The Muppet Movie didn't have famous starring roles outside the Muppets themselves. Same with MTM.* I give the negative reviews 1 out of 5...

Out of Character Interview in Variety!

Eh, I'm interested in seeing something different than "The Muppet Show," because that's something that can't be recreated.
