    TMS Season 2 coming August 7, 2007

Of course if the copyright had never changed hands in the first place we wouldn't have this problem. C'est la vie.

    TMS Season 2 coming August 7, 2007

No mystery there - Disney accidentally used an earlier edit of the Joel Grey ep.

    TMS Season 2 coming August 7, 2007

Can I just point out one important factor - that we don't know what *all* the extras are. All that has been announced (as per the first post on this thread) is... Bonus Features: • Original Pilot: "The Muppets Valentine Show" • The Muppets on Muppets: Kermit, Gonzo and Rizzo sit down for...

Most disappointing episode of The Muppet Show

The Season One episodes are set out *more* like a typical comedy-variety series a la Ed Sullivan, whereas from Season Two onwards the guests began to take a more active part in the backstage mayhem. Not sure who we can thank for that - Jerry Juhl maybe?

    Piggy in Flashdance

Flashdance was released in April 1983, whereas Muppets Go to the Movies was recorded in 1981 - so the answer is no.

"Hey, Cinderella" and "The Frog Prince"

If you could just point out exactly where I said in my posts that these specials should never be released on DVD, I should be very grateful.

"Hey, Cinderella" and "The Frog Prince"

We are talking about three Muppet specials that are not re-run on a regular basis, and as far as I'm aware have never even been screened overseas. Most of the general public would never have heard or even remember these specials, and as such they would not be big sellers on DVD. It would be...

"Hey, Cinderella" and "The Frog Prince"

I think there's a bit of confusion here - as I understand it characters from other companies are able to appear in the specials without any problems. It's the fact that they can't appear on the cover of a commercial release of this special.

First quarter has passed - Where's Season 2???

The only people going "bonkers" are those (such as yourself) who are criticising Disney unnecessarily. DVDs usually don't get formally announced until at least a month until they are due to be released. Disney don't want to make the mistake of announcing a title too early, otherwise they could...

"Hey, Cinderella" and "The Frog Prince"

Ummm.... we are talking about three rather obscure Muppet specials from the 1960's; somehow I don't think they would be big sellers. Besides that, Disney may not even own the rights to the specials.

First quarter has passed - Where's Season 2???

Get a Grip folks! TMS is not the only thing that Disney will be releasing on DVD this year. Please keep that in mind. I'm sure that there will be an announcement in due course, but as I've said time and again - You just have to be patient and wait. And if you can't, then that is your bad luck.

    Getting more Muppets Campaign

I would post what I think but I'm afraid if I did then I would get told off.

    TMS Commercial Bumpers

That's all true, but I'm interested in finding out whether there were specially made ones for the UK airings. Other ITC produced shows had them, and my hypothesis is that TMS did have some.

    TMS Commercial Bumpers

No, those were the special "trailers" that were recorded for each episode. I'm talking about ad caps that appeared before (and possibly after) the commercials.

    TMS Commercial Bumpers

Does anyone know if commercial bumpers were shown during the original run in the UK? I've seen commercial bumpers for two other ITC series - The Saint and The Prisoner - and these have usually consisted of an appropriate bit of animation (the Saint logo and the Penny Farthing seen in the...

    Sweetums in TMM and GMC

They didn't; remember the Muppets didn't always play "themselves" as per their TMS personas in the films. As for when Sweetums' personality changed, check the episode guide for season one of TMS in this site. Going back to the original point of this thread - "Mad Man" Mooney is calling out...

    Temptation - Performer spotted

Apart from the head shot of Dave Goelz, look at the back left of the screen towards the end of the number as the glee club move off and you can see the left arm and shoulder of one of the performers. Isn't it interesting that they kept in these types of mistakes in the first season of TMS but...

Kermit and Lydia the Tattooed Lady

And yet TMS was meant to be for Adults in the first place... ;) Re-watching that episode lately I reckon that that number is a re-record and not part of the original recorded episode. Kermit's voice in some of the early episodes is a bit deeper but for this number it's the usual "natural...

    Lullaby of Birdland/ Mahna Mahna

IIRC, Mahna Mahna tries to hum "Lullaby of Birdland" during his solo spots.

TMS Season 2 coming summer 2007

Ummm...it's March now and the Northern Hemisphere Summer is July/August. Why are people expecting an announcement to be made now? Folks, have patience - Disney will make the announcement when they are good and ready. Remember, TMS isn't the *only* product that Disney will be releasing on DVD...
