My wallet says Chicago as it is closer and more likely I can go...but my heart says Greenvill Mississippi as that is where Jim Henson was born and I do believe the city would support the event as it celebrates a hometown hero

I'd rather MAryland or Mississippi as opposed to new York...... I think as this has to start out small trying to start it in New York may be too big a task.

I agree with the Summer idea...now depending where you have this you also have to be aware of other major cons in the area. We don't want to have this in say New York at the same time as a mjor New York Comic Convention. That being said I like some of the ideas like having it where Jim was Born...

Seriously though. I think the best thing to do is pick a date, find a place to host it. Invite vendors. Now it would be nice for all the dealers to be selling muppet stuff, but maybe you can find people who sell some muppet stuff but might sell other memrobelia. Anyways charge a fee for vendors...
