That's too bad. Their Marvelmstuff has been better than a lot of Hasbro's for the last few years. I like their Ghostbusters stuff as well. Great dioramas.
That being said, their releases are few and far between. While I would love for all of the planned muppet releases to come out, I...
There hasn't been much said. It's possible that this only affects the comic distribution side of things. I suppose we will see what kind of showing they have at Toy Fair, if any.
Looks like they are making it to smaller retailers first. Entertainment Earth will likely have them later than others. I think Walmart had an online preorder and sold out.
If you plan to get them via a brick and mortar comic shop, they may be hard to find. They likely ordered in smaller...
New pictures of Bert and Ernie have been shown with them next to various figures

The figures look great and pose wonderfully. Palisades figures were always a bit stiff due to the joints being used at the time. This just makes me want NECA to get the muppet line...
Well, this doesn't look good for the company.

It's still possible that product makes it out, but the future isn't too bright.
An interview with Trevor from NECA was posted earlier.
It's almost an hour and most of it is just Trevor talking about what he wants to do with the line and how he was involved with Palisades back in the day before the Sesame line was canceled. But there are a few bits of info to take from...
Classic Mokey, Convincing John, Cantus (Classic), and maybe a season 1 Gobo would be great for a 3rd wave. Maybe some Doozers for good measure. A Jr. Gorgeous with a mini frsggle would be great too.

Here are the in package shots. They look good, but Mokey has that wondering eye.
I got mine from Ent. Earth when they had a sale going on. Hopefully they ship soon without delay.
Assuming these are production samples and not upscaled test shots, they run a bit big compared to Palisades. But, I also think Bert is bigger than we may think. In MFC, he seems huge compared to Gonzo. Also, the picture shows Bert and Ernie with Series 1 Bunsen and Beaker and series 3 Chef...
Only time will tell how this plays out.
If they move the movie to a smaller attraction space, that would be great. Even if they remove the anamatromic elements and just make it a movie with the animatronic parts being replaced with projections.
The question is how big of a change will this...
So my Kermit has been sitting on a shelf, untouch, for many year and it seems he's collected a lot of dust. The fleece is also pilling a bit. How does one clean their MR Kermit without ruining it?
Still no word on the 4th figure that will be paired with Count. I'm really hoping for Oscar, though the Muppet E needs to come with Guy Smiley just because of the beauty pageant angle.
The waiting is killing me. I'm ready to see a full line already.
NECA showed off packaging shots of Bert and Ernie on their Facebook page.

They are going with a classic Sesame Street story book illustration vibe, which is wonderfully 70s/80s. I really can't wait to get these in hand. I hope this line blows up...
Count could have an N or an E. There is a 4th figure that hasn't been shown yet. Maybe we will see it at NYCC. NECA stated they will release these 2 at a time. I'm hoping for Oscar, but based on the E's design it could be Guy Smiley.
As for price, it's not 2004 anymore. It is kind of crazy...
Pre-orders went up today for the Sesame Street Ultimate figures from NECA.
Both come with multiple hands and a second head sculpt. Bert comes with the letter A and Ernie has the letter C. Bert is a bit heavier on accessories, but both come with what they need IMO. The poses shown in the promo...
They didn't seem to have much of a presence at SDCC and no updates on their social media. There are still retailers that didn't get series 1 in yet, so I imagine series 2 is delayed as well. Last listing I saw had series 2 coming winter of this year though.
Series 3 will likely be a ways off...
I was just saying that it isn't smart to release characters that go together in the same line and surmised that when they get to the Martians they may be a 2 pack.
Another small update:
The lamp post shown at comic con was just a show piece for now. It will not come with Ernie. Which means Ernie may be a bit light on accessories.
It's confirmed that each figure will come with a letter just like Palisades originally intended.
Bert and Ernie should be...
