Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I liked the Aardvark Song, the I Love Being a Pig live action with pigs (it was also animated), the hippos with the guy singing 'there's a bird on me.' Aaaannnnddd...that's all I can remember right now.
I don't know if these classify as animal skits, but I also remember one about shearing...
I TRIED to tape the Garfield Gets A Life special when it first aired, but my VCR messed up. Luckily I had the Gets A Life book so I knew what it was about.
I have a book called Garfield's Thanksgiving but I never saw a TV special of that. Only other Garfield TV special I never saw was the...
I watched tons of Fraggle Rock as a kid, but strangely I don't remember many details about the show like many fans here do. But I do remember a few Traveling Matt bits.
One that stuck out in my mind was when he took an elevator ride. He though it was a special room that boosted the...
It's also cool that you knew about Joe the Armadillo being on Animal Show first as a different character.
There was a wildebeest character in that show that sounded like Joel from MST3K. Of course I know it wasn't Joel, duh, but it was funny how he sounded like him.

Yep, you are right. Rupe Goldberg was a cartoonist that drew all these funny inventions to do something simple. If you like that sort of thing, you may want to look into a computer puzzle game called "The Incredible Machine."

Just for fun, here's two 'famous' people I recently met: David Crane and Charles Martinet. If you can tell me who they are, you'll win a pretend car!

Oh, the only long/short skit I can remember now is the one where they used old black and white movie footage of a guy stretching and squishing his car with some narration dubbed over. "Oh, now it's long...now it's short again!"

Well, I could very well be wrong. What's Clifford supposed to be folks?
Come to think of it, Pepe doesn't really look much like a prawn either. That's another character I would never have thought to do. A prawn Muppet.

Yeah, Andy and Randy Pig will never be very well developed Muppet characters, but as slapstick fun, they're great.
I forgot about Dr. Phil Van Neuter. They got that 'doctor-ish' voice down perfectly. It's hard to describe...you know what I mean?

I must've missed the "Muppets...
I like the commercials. Granted having Jessica Simpson in them is unnessecary, but eh, the ads are still all right. It's better than a lot of other commercials on right now. Sometimes it makes me hungry for pizza, though (although watching TMNT also makes me hungry for pizza). I don't call...
Even though I was considered 'too old' to watch Sesame Street in 3rd grade, I went to see this movie in theaters anyway then because I liked Muppets that much. I do remember it being a pretty cute movie. Who doesn't like Big Bird?

I'm sure I have the monsters in this skit totally wrong, but wasn't there a heavy/light skit with Telly lugging around a pile of bricks while Elmo just had to hold a feather in his hand?

"Look ma, I caught a fwaggle!"
For a show I watched SO much when I was a kid, I barely remember anything specific about Fraggle Rock's Junior Gorg except for that one line. I wish I could see Fraggle Rock again so I could get some of those memories back. I adored that show.

I think Pepe and Bobo are great characters. I never was too keen on Clifford but he is a unique character. What is he, a catfish? I would've never thought to make a Muppet out of that.
I like Sal better than I like Johnny Fiama. They do have some funny banter sometimes. I also like Randy...
