I remember Bert's nose coming off way before I remember velcro. Doesn't mean velcro wasn't used, but it makes me think double-sided tape. Just an observation.

Thank you. The nose is constructed out of Crayola Magic Foam and covered with fleece and the eyes were vacuum formed. (...and no worries I don't mind.)

Here's Buck's tutorial on hands. It works well. http://www.bear-town.com/backstage/tumbles_pg2.htm Foam core is that "thicker-than-posterboard-with-the-white-stuff-in-the-middle" stuff they sell right next to the posterboard. Wal Mart, Office Depot or craft stores will have it.
