I've never thought of Clifford as an aquatic creature, but now that it is brought up, I certainly can see the resemblance. :) Anyway, I too, think he is a humanoid modeled after a Rastafarian.
Yeah, I don't really think he "is" anything specific, either, I just thought it would be a fun discussion.
And, Leach, I agree with you: No matter what Muppets From Space tries to pull, Gonzo is still a whatever.
Okay, but most of the Muppet animals are specific, recognizable animals. Anything that is otherwise is usually considered a monster, alien, etc. The line seems to be really fuzzy around Animal, though.
Over the years, there have been tons of great Sesame Street children's books made available. What are some of your favorites?
My top picks both feature my favorite SS character: Grover. They are Grover and the Everything in the Whole Wide World Museum and The Monster at the End of This Book...
I don't remember the song, but I remember the tape! My siblings and I loved the "Are We There Yet?" song, and our parents promptly forbade us from singing it. :D
Dr. Phil van Neuter's scene cracks me up every time. He's one of the funniest characters to come out of Muppets Tonight. What a goofball!

I was wondering if anyone on MC was also on Facebook, and would be interested in a REAL Muppet fan group.
There are all these "Muppet fan" groups on Facebook that are made up of people who "love those two old guys" or "think Kermit is awesome." I want to start a group for those of us who know...
This is a hard question. hmmm.
I haven't seen all of the episodes, and I don't necessarily remember all of the ones I have seen. But just going by what I remember, I'd have to say that the best episode is Linda Ronstadt. She is a strong presence both onstage and backstage, gets a big part of...
I thought for years that Alfre Woodard was a guest star on TMS. Everytime I saw her, I would think, "Hey, she was on The Muppet Show!" And then, late last year, I found out that she wasn't.
Oh, well, I still like her.
