I have really given up on this line. I was looking forward to the new full size Kermit and Fozzie, but in this economy and as another poster commented, there is a definent loss of momentum.
How to make a working half-bodied stage puppet from the MR Animal Photo Replica Muppet.
Converting the Animal poser is really quite simple compare to the Gonzo conversion that I did. If you know how to build basic puppets and have a little experience with hand tools and hand sewing, then you...
Ditto what practicecactus said. The Sony portable DVD is the only one I could find that video input. I got it at WallMart for around $100.00. The line-in is a mini 1/8" but you can go to the shack and get an adaptor to go from RCA to mini.
Good luck!
What you are looking for is something called a lipstick camera (roughly the size of a tube of lipstick). They are really small and produce a decent wide angle field of view. For a monitor, I reccomend a portable DVD player with line-in functionality. I have a Sony one, battery operated that I...
I am half way done converting the MR Animal poser into a working puppet. It is actually alot easier than Gonzo (it might also be it is my second MR Conversion). Right now I am building a device to actuate his eyebrows. I have taken pics all the way through and will post on another thread. BTW...
I am taking some careful measurements on the Animal poser, and it looks like it might just be doable to convert him as well. I am going to wait and see how good the animal FP Animal puppet I just got on E-b** looks in person, if it doesn't meet the same standard as our other puppets, I will...
I only Paid like $80.00 for him, whichis almost 1/2 the cost of a Mupet What Not, so I was not too afraid to tear into him. I have the animal poser as well, but have not yet figured out how I would go about converting him? My biggest concern is the diameter of his neck, I am not sure even a...
The arm wires are connected to a plastic "sternum" via the same type of plastic wire retainer clip and 4 screws. The arm wires are attached to his hands the same way. You can make a small incision to unscrew the retainer, buti just kept bending the wires at his wrist until the wires broke and...
I am looking for a large "fury" Elmo, I am looking at the 25" Gund, but was wondering if there is a better one out there, that is more like the real one? Any ideas? Thank you so much!
The wires in the mouth are secured by a plastic retainer on both mouth plates which can simply be unscrewed with a small philips screw driver (4x screws per). The mouth actually had a double hinge, and it opens and closes real easy ( obviously not as easy ad a sock puppet, but easier than a What...
Hi there!
Ok! I figured out how to upload pics to Photo bucket (I think) if anyone wants to see some really quick grab shots of Gonzo just follow the link below:
If anyone wants details, and if it is allowed to publish them here, let me know. When I modify the next one, I will take pics...
Gonzo Pics
If anyone wants to see the pics of the Gonzo puppet email me and I will will email you the pics i have. Just remember I am not a puppet builder, never claimed to be an expert, nor "my" way is the only way of doing it. I am sure that there are 100's of better Gonzo puppets out...
Thanks for the response. Our sound system works great at church, it is going to nursing homes that we have trouble. In church we just use our in-house mics and everything works great. The problem is I am the in-house tech guy (I kinda was given the hat because I am younger than 60!) So asking...
Hi there, I am new to this forum and not sure how to attach a photo (where's the paperclip?). Iwould be happy to take some pics of my Gonzo puppet and post it here, I just need to find out how to do it.
