Totally agree. I love Paul McCartney, but that song is ungodly annoying. Same for "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree." I may be in the minority, but I actually enjoy "Do They Know It's Christmas?" and "War is Over."

I used to watch the old show, too, and still didn't particularly care for it.

Honestly, I never really cared for the show, and seeing that horrible CGI/live-action movie from 2000 didn't help.

Trying to send a positive message is, of course, not a bad thing. Being hokey, disingenuous, preachy, and obnoxious about it is what most people have a problem with.

Honestly, Pepe did not really annoy me at first. I saw him in MFS when I was 13, and thought he was pretty funny. It was only as I got older and saw him as a scene-stealer whose shtick involved little more than random pop culture references and saying things are sexy that he started to annoy me...
