    Funny Puppet Short Film

Magic Meadow It's not too many questions at all. I did the voice of the ant, Michael did the voice of the bear, and Victoria Lee did the voice of the Wood Fairy. I have had a little bit of voice training, but most of my training come from doing puppet shows for over ten years.

    Funny Puppet Short Film

Magic Meadow We had a lot of fun with the four different puppets to get the feeling of scale. My favorite shot is when the bear leans in close to the ant and says "too small". Thanks for reminding me Andrew;)... For another cool puppet short film check out The Mystery of Cobblestone Way. It...

How do you make this nose?

Practice Golf Balls You make a good point. Practice golf balls can also make great puppet eyes;). Check it out: http://swazzle.com/blogs/2005/11/puppet-eyes-practice-golf-balls.html

How do you make this nose?

Foam Peas Snark, Those foam balls are about 12 inches across, so they might be too big for a nose - unless your making a huge puppet. They were bought at walmart:p. I would check there, or Target, or toy stores, Toys R Us etc. You might also be able to find similar items online. Sean

How do you make this nose?

Using Foam Balls Andrew's got a good point. When I made the peas for Puppet Greetings I used yellow foam balls that I dyed green. That certainly cut my building time down and it was quite effective. Check them out here: http://swazzle.com/blogs/2006/01/give-peas-chance.html Which ever way...

How do you make this nose?

Sanding Foam Yes, Snark you can carve foam that smoothly. Bob Fappiano, a puppet builder most well know for Timmy the Tooth, (you can see some of his puppets on Puppet Greetings.com) carves foam and sands it with a disk sander. It is quite amazing just how smooth the foam is. Apparently he...

Jim Henson's Puppet Improv March 8-12

Henson Improv The sketches will not be pre-planned, it is all truly improv. The puppeteers have been training with Groundlings performer Patrick Bristow for the past nine months to perfect their improv skills. Just like the Groundlings (the legendary Los Angeles improv company that launched...

How do you make this nose?

Beeker nose From my experience sewing Muppet fleece from the inside is not the best way to hide seams. I would do a simple hand stitch and then pick out the seam as Jinx suggested.

    Painting Eyes

Painting Puppet Eyes Hey Shtick, I'm new to the forum, but I noticed that you had a question about how we paint our puppet's eyes. Here’s how to do it: Save the eye painting for last. To get the placement trace circles onto butcher paper and stick them onto the ping pong balls (trace...

    Muppets/L.A. Times article

Muppets in the L.A. Times don’t know if the Muppets will ever be brought back to their former glory - but it is possible. It’s hard to remember now but there was a time when Star Wars was in a similar situation. It wasn’t until the Timothy Zahn novels came out followed by the new Kenner toys...
