After minutes and minutes of number crunching, I found that the total number of individuals in the picture is 513 (30 short of 543).
Mickey Mouse and the characters who inhabit his world and appear in multiple shorts (Minnie Mouse, Pete as Tiny Tom in Officer Duck, Horace Horsecollar...
You all should check out Dan Abraham’s Instagram account. Dan’s the co-director of the short, and he’s got a lot of images that were made early in production, most of which didn’t make it to the final version.
I’d also check out this other Instagram account of a Disney fan/Cast Member. He’s...
If there’s one thing I dread most about DTVA having a fan made variation, it’s that the overrated shows would be given the most attention, pushing the underrated ones far, far to the side. Apparently, the majority of social media always gush about Gravity Falls, Star vs. the Forces of Evil...
Guess what. The short is now free to watch on the Tube of You! Anyone who missed it on ABC or has no access to Disney+ can check it out whenever they want.
Here’s a thought: Willie (the giant) has the ability to change himself into anything - it would have been the perfect opportunity for him to become, dare I say it, a teeny weeny fly with pink wings. That way, he would have been able to zip out of his picture, down the halls, through the lobby...
Actually, Ichabod Crane was shown, so you can take TAoI&MT off the list. I think RBtI and F2 were excluded because they already got Wreck-It Ralph and Elsa in there.
As for the hint at the next movie, I didn’t see any anything, not since that massive aircraft from Strange World in Encanto’s...
So apparently, this short wasn’t played in front of Wish, which I saw at the movies today. I don’t know why some people, especially critics, are panning WDAS’s latest movie, but no matter what they say, the story and references, including how the traits of Asha’s friends are similar to those of...
So am I. Gotta uphold the reputation when you’re representing WDAS. It’s also nice to see acknowledgement of films that aren’t as frequently watched or talked about as the most popular ones.
Oh, I just realized I didn’t count the trolls from Frozen in rolling rock form. That would put my number...
As much as I cherish the show, there is but one issue I have with modern Sesame Street: how Grover evolved appearance-wise and intelligence-wise.
Slanted eyes with slightly shrunk pupils looking like he’s looking above you, frizzy fur like he just got out of bed.
I remember instances where he...
Exactly! I never took the two video game series into account, so thanks!
As far as the character count goes, I have a total of 478. If I were to add the 84 Dalmatians (that’s 101 - Pongo - Perdie - their 15 pups), that would bring the number up to 562. Maybe 19 Dalmatians were not included...
Ever noticed many if not all characters make movements in various group shots? The animators were certainly not holding back. You’d even have to rewatch that final group shot where the camera zooms out from Jiminy multiple times just to see who’s singing and who isn’t.
The title is Once Upon a Studio, not Once Upon a Company (LOL). Anyway, I thought of more characters they could have added, not that they’re essential or anything. They’re the ones not mentioned on your list.
•Mortimer Mouse
•The Three Blind Mouseketeers
•That cookie man from Cookie Carnival...
They’d have to be characters created at WDAS, though, which is fine by me. I know for a fact that Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Bear were not in the short for reasons too complex for me to explain. If it were up to me, I would have included the following:
•Max Hare & Toby Tortoise (The...
I think the larger characters (Willie the Giant, Willie the Whale, Paul Bunyan and Babe, Tamatoa, to name a few) were left out because they’d have been too big to fit anywhere inside the studio and they wouldn’t have made their way out the doorway that’s big enough for the tree couple, Pedro...
I wondering if anyone happened to watch this short recently. It came out on ABC on October 15th and it became accessible on Disney+ the next day. You can also watch it on the small screen at the Abraham Lincoln theater at Disneyland. If you want to experience it on the big screen, it’ll play in...
I’m surprised very few people are aware of this, but since today’s the day HBO Max and Discovery+ have now merged to become Max, I thought I’d bring it up.
The Jim Henson Company was involved in a short-lived baking show called Duff’s Happy Fun Bake Time. It features the renowned Duff Goldman...
That does seem to be the case to me as of late. Sometime last year, there was this video I saw of Grover going birdwatching and he mistook a frog for a bird. You’d figure Kermit’s absence on Sesame Street would have had something to do with it. Let’s not forget the time he mistook a sphere and a...
What I’m trying to get at is there are times when a singular form works (Muppet Babies, Muppet Sing Alongs, Muppet Thought of the Week) and when a plural form works (The Muppets at Walt Disney World, Muppets Now). Singular or plural, we know these projects will include the Muppets. And like I...
