Why isn't Kevin Clash given other roles?

I liked Hoots the Owl when I was a kid, cool character. I also remember Kevin's version of Dr. Nobel Price more than Brian Meehl's version. You got to admit, kids love Elmo. I didn't mind Elmo when I was watching Sesame Street.

    Steve Whitmire

I just found a picture of Steve and Melissa with Heather Henson at the Centre for Puppetry Arts in 2008. It's the only picture I've ever seen of Melissa. http://www.puppet.org/spec/pix/sf09_4large.jpg

    Who's Married?

I know this is an old thread, but I did find out through Wikipedia that Eric Jacobson is married (wife's name is Mary) but doesn't have kids; David Rudman is married with 3 kids; Matt Vogel is married with 4 kids; and Frank Oz is married with 4 kids. Steve and Melissa Whitmire don't have kids.

    Celebrating Caroll Spinney

What's amazing is that Caroll is still working in his 70's and making children smile. God bless him and Jerry Nelson for still making memories for the children of today.

    Favorite Muppet interview

That's a good one with Kevin and Dave. I posted this video in another thread, but I like this one with Steve and Eric: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Bvcxn5ugs

Has Steve Whitmire ever given an on-camera interview?

Sorry to bump this thread, but this is one of my favorite interviews with Steve along with Eric Jacobson (this is the only interview I've ever seen with Eric): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Bvcxn5ugs Another short clip of Steve from last January...

    The RHLC!

It wasn't until I got internet in 1997 that I found out Richard has passed away. Very sad, I loved his characters like Scooter, Beaker, Statler, and Janice; plus all of his Sesame Street characters like the Flamingo (beautiful singing voice) and Forgetful Jones (he was hilarious).

    How is Jerry Nelson doing?

I'm glad to see that Jerry is still working, despite his illness. The Count was always pretty funny on Sesame Street.

2011 Muppet Movie plot officially announced

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Muppets movie (I may have to take my niece with me to see it). I don't have any of the previous Muppet movies on DVD, but I may have to order them from Amazon.

A Muppet Christmas - Letters to Santa.

I saw Letters To Santa twice this holiday season. I loved the special and I must admit, they've done very well with the recasts of many muppet characters. It's as if the original muppeteers were still voicing some of them. Very talented folks like: Steve Whitmire, Bill Barretta, Eric...

    A Muppet Family Christmas

Loved Muppet Family Christmas when I was a kid, it was great bringing The Muppets, Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock together for a special. I was surprised to find the unedited version on YouTube, it was nice to watch it again along with Christmas Eve on Sesame Street (another favorite growing up).

    Driving exams

I've had my license for almost 16 years. Never had an accident or tickets, I guess I'm just a good driver. I was like most of you when I took my driver's test, a nervous wreck; but I got through it. Now we have graduated drivers licenses, so a person can't get their full license until they're...

Happy New Year! Long time lurker, first time poster. My name is Heidi, I'm 31 and has never known life without Jim Henson's Muppets. My brother and I grew up watching The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock. Now, my 7 year old niece is watching Fraggle Rock reruns on TeleToon...
