Favorite Kermit Voice Actor? Jim Henson or Steve Whitmire?

I really hate having to answer questions like this. My gut response is Jim, since he was the one that performed Kermit that I was most familiar with, and he passed when I was in High School. But, Steve has done a great job, and I feel sorry that he is only receiving 25% of the vote so far. I...

What is your favorite Muppet Show Sketch

For humor - The banana Boat song from the Harry Belafonte episode. For a touching moment - Bein' Green from the Peter Sellers episode. For just pure "Muppet" fun - The opening of the Harry Belafonte episode, where Fozzie tries to write the script for the show as the show is being performed... :)...

    Favorite Frank Oz Character

After watching "An Evening w/ Frank Oz and Jim Henson", I was surprised to find out that Frank was with Jim 4 years before performing a voice. He said it scared him to death, and he didn't want to do it, and Jim mentored and encouraged him along the way. BTW, his first voice was the two-headed...

What was the last Henson thing you watched?

1989 Interview with Jim Henson / Frank Oz / Michael Firth. It is funny, at the begining of it it has a title card that states, "Internal use only". It is about 38 mintues long...very unique and insightful.

Favorite version of The Rainbow Connection

I chose the original. However, I do admit the one in the Muppets had me teary eyed because it was as if Jim was watching, and saying "Wow, it's like I never left, good job guys!" It was that special feeling that I got during the 80s films...something quite rare post Jim Henson era. It's like...

    Your Dream Muppet Collectible

I just want a time-machine to go back and be part of the magic again...but since that isn't really a "collectable"....I would want a life size replica of the "orignal" Muppet Theater, complete with backstage area, canteen, guest star's changing room, Lobby, etc...

Which Muppet are You Most Like

If I go by the quiz, I am Kermit (100%), which is fine by me! (Who doesn't love Kermit? And if they don't that's ok too!)

Favorite Season of the Muppet Show

I would have to agree, Season 1, the performers were still "geling" and Season 2, they started to develop better writing and favorite recurring sketches. Season 3, they were well known enough to get some better known guest stars. It just seems to me, that season 3 is when they hit their...

Favorite Season of the Muppet Show

What is your favorite season of the Muppet Show? My would have to be season 3. The performers were in the groove, the guest stars were great. The writing superb...I can gush more about season 3, but I won't.

    Little things we've noticed

Listening to "Muppets Tonight" while at work, and the opening bit where Kermit announces the guest star, (In this case it was the Whoopi Goldberg episode) I heard a faint phrase from the original Muppet Show theme...stunned, I backed it up, and listened to it again, it was a muted trumpet and...

How old were you when you started liking Muppets?

I started w/ Seasame Street, same as many. Throughout my young life, I would watch Fraggle Rock, and TMS. I remember being a senior in HS, and talking to a Freshmen about the Muppets, and her response was, "Huh? The what?" Then I said I felt old..lol. But, I guess if I watched TMS when I...

    Little things we've noticed

I think what Jim was talking about was the mix of animation and puppetry and live action, with some cg work, as was the norm in the time of the music videos of that era. Having watched most of the Storyteller series, I can definitely see the influence.

    Muppet Voice Impressions

Ya, my Fozzie needs some work yet...there are some nuiances that I don't have down. Also, not a "muppet" but I can do Jim Henson's normal speaking voice as well.

    Muppet Voice Impressions

I do Jim Henson's Kermit, Swedish Chef, Ernie Oz's Piggy, Grover, Yoda, Bert, and sometimes Sam the Eagle. Working on more.
