    RIP Debbie Reynolds

Debbie Reynolds was also the voice of Charlotte in Charlotte's Web, whose character also had an inevitable death (though by natural causes rather than a stroke). But this song Charlotte sang shows that we can't possibly stay miserable forever. :)

Wait a Minute... "DreamWorks' Dragons"? What?

I don't recall a single episode that used that word. "Sucks" was used quite a bit and "p!ssed" as well, but not "crap".

Wait a Minute... "DreamWorks' Dragons"? What?

Anyone else see Trollhunters? I'm only 6 episodes in right now, but I must admit, I thought it would be lame seeing the same high school kid with the same high school troubles we've all seen before (girls, bullies, slipping grades, etc.). But once the trolls come on screen and the Anton...

    Last movie you watched

I got to watching Unico in the Island of Magic this time, and I have to say, it's a bit better overall than the previous movie, even though the title character doesn't really have much to do until the second half. The main villain is a lot more psychotic and three-dimensional this time around...

    New Justice League cartoon CONFIRMED

So, anyone see this show yet? I don't like it as much as Justice League, but it's still a fun show with a tone akin to Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which I do really like in and of itself. The episode with Lobo and Space Cabbie (in his animated debut) was a great one especially, with Patton...

    Nintendo makes the Switch!

Less than 2 weeks to go until the big Switch presentation on January 12th! This will be huge, I guarantee it! :) :) :)

    RIP Debbie Reynolds

On the one hand, she was 84, and it was inevitable. But on the other, it's so eerie that this happened the day after her daughter died.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Bet they apologized to The Simpsons for the way their country was depicted in that one episode ever since then. :D

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

There's also the whole depiction of the continent of Africa as this barren wasteland where absolutely nothing can support life that rubs me the wrong way, too. "Clanging chimes of doom"? Give me a clanging break. That's the very definition of glurge: something that's very sappy and...

    Everyone loves the Homestar Runner!

Holy crap! It's a new H*R cartoon, this time celebrating its 20th anniversary by actually producing a new story based on an unfinished concept from a sequel to the book! Loved all the in-jokes here! :)

    RIP Carrie Fisher

And most unexpected, pitchman Billy Mays. And just when we were beginning to like him, no less. :(

    RIP Carrie Fisher

This is incredibly horrible and devastating, but I'm not going to be like everyone else and curse this year because of it. Is 2016 really any different from the past years because of all these celebrity deaths? As Cracked so rightly put it, it's mainly because of increased awareness thanks to...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Over the three-day Christmas weekend, Rogue One was still number one, yet runner-up Sing managed to do surprisingly well, breaking even and then some on its $75 million budget, way more so than the Chipmunks last year. But then you have the Assassin's Creed movie, which wound up at a lowly 5th...

    Last movie you watched

I just watched the first Unico movie. It's comparatively much lighter and softer than Ringing Bell, but still has some pretty dark and depressing stuff. Unico is an adorable baby unicorn who has the magical power to spread love and happiness to whomever he meets, but the gods above hate that for...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

The Force was strong with Rogue One, though not as strong as The Force Awakens, which I'm not surprised by. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=2016&wknd=51&p=.htm

Video: Pigs in Space “The Gravity of the Situation”

It was fun seeing Kermit in this one, and the twist that he was really a crappy-looking puppet performed by Link. Also liked that we didn't have to wait an eternity for a 2nd episode, as some worried.
