Hey Count, you forgot some pros:
1) new "A" cartoon that pays homage to the early 70's style (white background, solid lines, almost the exact same voice - we've seen TONS of these on SS - think Jasper and Julius)
2) Sally Cruikshank's interpretation of "Dance Myself to Sleep"
Yesterday's episode had Cookie singing a song about when he first tried cookies as a baby. I don't know if it was done for this season, but it was definitely Frank.
I've only seen this at least once or twice in the 80s. It's a song performed by an AM rock band, and it goes something like "Join us!/You can play the drums!/Join us!/You can play piano!"
If anyone's seen this and/or know more of how it goes, please let me know.
You needn't be sorry of anything, Drtooth. I thought it was a great piece of fan-fiction and a fine job of April Fooling, which was more than appropriate to do on a day like yesterday. I applaud you.
Come on, everyone applaud this guy! He really knows his Sesame stuff! :) :p :( :grouchy:
What I've listed here are some extended scenes you won't find on the DVD. They're present in the 1988 UK release on Virgin Video, and might even have been seen in theaters at some point, I dunno.
1) Fozzie breaks his horn on stage at El Sleezo and laments, "This is not my night." :o
2) The...
Hard to choose. I really like these non-Noggin episodes:
#2107, in which Oscar gets jealous that Bernie the piano tuner (a human) is getting more attention from Grungetta (this time played by Brian Meehl), so he begs Olivia to go on a date with Bernie - whom Olivia thinks is a grouch at...
I might as well let the monster out of the box: I've been writing a fan-fiction interview with Cookie himself about this subject. It's surprisingly good.
As far as I know there is no online archive of the strip. That's why I clip it out each week and, if I can, scan the strips into a computer and save them as high-quality jpegs. I haven't done that lately, but I will when I get some free time.
