Anyone find it weird and hilarious that there's a meat-based character in the show called Bacon Bill? He totally feels like a Doug TenNapel character, considering he's the executive producer. :)
Makes you wonder if they'll eventually create a candy bar, too. If you know the history of...
It was a hit this weekend, setting records in September with $117 million. After the big summer slump in August, this was a much-needed boost.

Disenchantment will be 2 seasons of 10 episodes each, totaling 20. It could get renewed for more, however, though I'm sure Groening wouldn't want it to run on for too long, unlike a certain other show he birthed...
I really liked how Blossom was the one made to be afraid of the dentist, rather than the more obvious Bubbles or even Buttercup. Her aching tooth transforming her into a hulking monster with fingers (!) was pretty creepy, too. Also got some great absent-minded Mayor moments in there. :)
That's funny. Fertility rates are actually dropping worldwide according to this article by way of Cracked. There will be a lot more babies in the future, but that won't last.

NC now talks about the recent trend of the omitting of the elaborate opening credits sequence of films, something that was once common beginning sometime in the 1960s when ticket sales were slumping over the advent of TV and needed a draw to put butts in seats. Nowadays this is rare to come...
The T.K.O. episode was pretty intense, subtext-wise. Tired of being talked down to, K.O. gets corrupted by a mysterious Palpatine-esque Shadowy Figure (which is also his name) into unleashing his anger, making him stronger but turning him all emo in the process. The Shadowy Figure may very well...
Oh, and I wonder if they will still have a "Producer Says" segment at the end. You know, where they have people calling in to complain about any scientific inaccuracies usually done for the sake of storytelling and have the producer address them, which was usually cut to make room for...
Can't say I'm too keen about this, either. While they got Lily Tomlin back to voice Ms. Frizzle, she's taking a backseat to her younger sister created just for this reboot? Real jarring to me. And surely they could have gotten a better studio if they're going for cheap Canadian tax write-off...
In the case of that, perhaps they thought Americans would be too stupid to understand that punny title. And market-based titles go the other way, too. Zootopia is called Zootropolis in Britain, for some reason. And let's not forget UHF becoming The Vidiot from UHF, which Weird Al hated.
Though...
Leap!, or Ballerina as it's known everywhere else, can rightfully be considered a flop here at around $5 million this weekend, even though it already made back almost double its $30 million budget in the foreign market.

Doesn't...
I wouldn't call it a cancellation so much as an end. The show has long since ran its course, and it will be given proper closure. As long as ABC doesn't get stupid and see the high ratings it might get as a demand for a renewal that would screw with the high-note ending, as they did with Scrubs.
In Canada, there's a store brand called "President's Choice", which is pretty ironic. Shouldn't it be called "Prime Minister's Choice"?
Yes, I know it's named for Loblaw's then-president, but it's still humorous to me. :D
The Critic now takes a look at the first episode of the DuckTales reboot, and surprise surprise, he really likes it.

I never noticed that the dogface girl in the lobby with Donald (and apparently near the end having quickly taken a job as an anchorwoman) looked like...
