Not to mention the animation and character designs are just so darn...ugly.

    RIP Meshach Taylor

http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/29/showbiz/actor-meschach-taylor-death/ Taylor was best known for playing Anthony Bouvier on "Designing Women". DW is one of my all-time favorite shows, so I am deeply saddened by this.

    The Uncle Matt/Red dynamic

This is, by far, my least favorite aspect of the series: Red not believing that Uncle Matt actually went on his adventures and then either Matt or Gobo feeling the need to prove her wrong. I don't know why the writers felt the need to pepper this storyline all throughout the series; heck, they...

    Saddest 'Dinosaurs' Episodes

The thing about Driving Miss Ethel is that Earl realizes how important it is to be there For Ethel as her family, so it actually has a happy ending.

    Muppet Classic Theater Revisited

I think the reason why there weren't that many original Muppets was because this was a pilot for Muppets Tonight in very many ways so the main priority was to try new characters to see how they worked and also to audition new performers to see what their strengths were.

    Saddest 'Dinosaurs' Episodes

Several years ago, I started a little thread called "Scariest Dinosaurs Moments", so in a similar vein, I thought we could talk about what episodes made you sad (besides Changing Nature, which should be a given). I have two: Endangered Species and Honey I Miss the Kids.

Looking for Coming of Age Books/Movies for a Gift

My cousin (who I'm very close to) turns 18 in January and I'd really like to get him something special, like maybe a book or movie that tells a coming of age story. However, I don't want to pick something really obvious like "Catcher in the Rye", so I thought I'd start this thread to come up...

    Muppeteers' least favorite Henson projects

Obviously, not all Henson productions can be winners, even to the people who actually took part in them. So, post the productions that are not liked by people associated with them, along with the person's name. Here's my list: -Monster Maker (Brian Henson) -Great Muppet Caper (Dave Goelz)...

    Most Annoying TV Series Ever?

IMO, "Fairly Oddparents" is the ultimate missed opportunity. When I first heard about the Vicky character, I was really excited to see the twist on the 'teenage babysitter' archetype. What I got instead was just over-the-top and mean for mean's sake, which is also how I can sum up Timmy's...

Your Thoughts: "Muppets Most Wanted" Theatrical Film

Muppet movies are supposed to encourage using your imagination. So no, creating two little Piggys (please, one is more than enough) was a cop-out.

Your Thoughts: "Muppets Most Wanted" Theatrical Film

I absolutely loved MMW; this is the movie that TM11 wanted to be and was marketed to be but failed to be. Jim and Richard are smiling from heaven in approval for the first time because their best characters (Rowlf and Scooter) are back with lotsa lines and plenty o'screen time. Some random...

    Most Annoying TV Series Ever?

    Most Annoying TV Series Ever?

I hate to get back to Will & Grace, but I feel the same way about its finale that you feel about the HIMYM finale. And I'm with you on NCIS, but for a different reason. Ziva is one of the cattiest grating characters in TV history. All she does is complain about her co-workers. Well, little...

    Most Annoying TV Series Ever?

I'm not terribly familiar with that show, but from what I can glean, it was an attempt from Joe Murray to go in the complete opposite direction from the first show he created: Rocko's Modern Life. Now I fully admit that my love for RML could be coming completely from a 'nostalgia goggles' point...

In Defense of the TV Films

Actually, VMX was the first Muppet film without Nelson. I'm not sure who voiced his characters in this film, though.
