Your Thoughts: Muppets Haunted Mansion on Disney+

Ironically, this very film proves in Technicolor that Muppet productions (at least the ones with Gonzo as a protagonist) cannot survive without Rizzo and I can only hope that the Henson company has learned from this film and therefore won't repeat this mistake.

    Muppet/Henson Audio Commentaries

Please move if needed. My goal is to put together as comprehensive a list as possible of Muppet/Henson DVDs with audio commentaries. I'll list the ones I'm aware of, please add more because I sincerely hope an almost 70 year old company has yielded enough material that more than four...

    Dealbreaker TV Characters

I've noticed that Frank's characters fall victim to unfortunate redesigns more than anyone else's. Tho Grover's redesign is better than Animal's.

    RIP Sally Kellerman

I think the difference is that Doc Hopper has a sense of humor that is absent in Ms. Finch and I would even say that up until the Krassmann scene we were almost kinda linking Hopper.

    RIP Sally Kellerman

‘MASH’ Alum Sally Kellerman Dead At 84 (msn.com) Henson fans will remember her as the voice of Ms. Finch in Follow that Bird, quite possibly the most despicable villain in all of Muppet films.

    The Mysterious Mary-Ann

Based on how Jones portrayed her I don't see who would want to contact her. My point is there are ways to be vague without making the reader needlessly curious. It's a challenge, to be sure, but nonetheless possible. And I think had Jones portrayed her actions in a more vague way, she...

    The Mysterious Mary-Ann

Since starting this thread I've reread the Jones biography and technically her last name is revealed. But still the secrecy surrounding her is growing evermore troubling and honestly the lack of comments to this thread are exacerbating that.

"Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series" Revisited

I've noticed in the almost 20 years I've belonged to this forum there hasn't been that much discussion about the Fraggle Rock animated series so I was curious to hear everyone's opinion. I personally think that when it wasn't outright remaking episodes of the original series it didn't stay true...

    If the order was reversed...

How has Disney acknowledged the MTI anniversary? All I saw was a short excerpt of a zoom reunion with Bill, Brian and Kevin Bishop. And with TM11, what's to celebrate? The introduction of the most irritating Muppet character since Scred? The cavalier way they deal with Rowlf? The resolution of...

    If the order was reversed...

I'm not saying it's flawed either. It's just so obvious to me the potential it had that feels like it was hindered by being the follow-up to MCC.

    If the order was reversed...

Good point, tho I think we can all agree that the looping was less obvious than in MFS.

    If the order was reversed...

I posted this in the Muppet Haunted Mansion thread and didn't get much response. In retrospect I realized that that thread was the wrong place to post it. What I'm referring to is my theory that MTI turned out the way it did because it was the follow-up to MCC which they felt stifled their...

    Dealbreaker TV Characters

Disney+ Edition: Coach T (Mighty Ducks Game Changers), Trent (Turner and Hooch), Ms. Grint (Big Shot) and Duncan (Monsters at Work). I know these aren't supposed to be likable characters but their relentlessness and formulaicness make them unbearable.

Your Thoughts: Muppets Haunted Mansion on Disney+

You bring up a really good point. Historically (and completely unintentionally) I think MHM's legacy is to make MTI look like a masterpiece by comparison. Meaning the Henson company felt that on a humor level MCC really stifled them and they were determined not to let that happen again. So...
