That true.
Now, I realize that they were trying to engage young kids but the interactivity really killed the film.
They really tried too hard to keep kids happy. I wish that Ernie and Bert were part of the action, and not just the narrators.
Heck, to make Elmo's journey into Grouchland less...
Yes, that was one of the bad things with Elmo in Grouchland. They basically turned much of the film into an episode of Blues Clues.
For me, Follow that Bird was like, Sesame Street meets the real world.

When I first saw Muppets From Space back in 1999, I thought that it kind of fun, but still very lackluster and disappointing in many ways.
Years later, when I read about Joey Mazzarino's script, it made me feel bad that MFS turned out like it did. The really could have been so much...
I think its awesome that the have the puppets with them at the table read. :)
Though I can't help but wonder;
As we all know, all of the Muppet performers perform more than one character, so for example, does Steve have both Kermit and Rizzo with him, and does he just constantly switch them on...

I have to say, I'm glad that they are going with "Greatest" rather than the "Cheapest" film.
Since this will be the newest theatrical Muppet film in about ten years, the "Greatest" film sounds more epic.
Well regardless, Its over, and its behind us. :)
And given how all Muppet fans reacted to this, the Muppets Studio will probably think twice before trying a public experiment like this again.
