    All things Muppety and Christmas-y

Like all four 2005 releases, the 2005 version has both the widescreen (theatrical) release and the fullscreen (television broadcast version). A lot of people don't realize that this is why they were skimpy on extras. Over 3 hours is used up when they do this. "When love is gone" is in it, but...

Your Thoughts: New Green and Red Christmas CD

I never got it, and now it's too late to care!

    Next Muppet Movie

Well, with Jerry Juhl (and Jim Henson for that matter) gone, and no Frank Oz not Muppeting (he's doing Yoda stuff for the 2 new Star Wars shows, btw), I think we'd get something on the level of quality of MWoO again. It's more likely that we'll get nothing, though. Time to brush up on my French!

What was the last DVD you bought and why?

I opened my gift to myself last might - The Muppets Take Manhattan DVD. Kind of a weird one - likely the weakest of the first three done with Jim Henson. I'd not seen it since it's first video release waaaay back in the 80's (I'd seen the first two in the theatre - loved them to death)...

Muppet Family Christmas on TV this year

You don't think so? How could it possibly not? You're Canadian. Don't you remember seeing what Americans refer to as 'UK spots' of the Muppet Show, etc? Copyright issues, yes, they change things. But when you're editing something for television, every minute counts. And when...

    You must be joking.

Muppet Family Christmas on TV this year

Canada has less commercial time per show (hence the creation of Bob & Doug MacKenzie). About 2 min. on the 1/2 hour.

Your Thoughts: Miss Piggy on Martha

I really can't see Frank Oz going on Martha Stewart these days.

Who's Cath? I don't remember any Christina chicken. If there was, it was really, really subtle and I missed it. That's pretty funny though.

DVD of Muppets Go To WDW: Speculation?

(shaking my head in disbelief) A City is not a company. Cities advertise with public money to attract tourists to keep their economy healthy. New York is a city, where people live and work. It is not a privately-owned coporate theme park.

    All things Muppety and Christmas-y

Yay! Finally! I think the human actors were great too. I love it's humor, it's exactly where they should have taken it. I loved the clever aware-ness NBC joke! Of course, it's NBCness guarantees it's doom for future release, or present acknowledgement (despite the fact that MGM has totally...

DVD of Muppets Go To WDW: Speculation?

I didn't know that New York City was a single corporation. I thought it was a city. Then again, I'm just a dumb, slighty-detached-from-US-megalomania Canuk. ;)

DVD of Muppets Go To WDW: Speculation?

 If it was about the Muppets going to McDonalds, would you consider it a McDonald's commercial?

I have NO idea why people have a problem with IAVMMCM! I love it! You know what's really neat about it? Steve Whitmere's Kermit - 10 years after his debut. His voice is SO much more improved.

DVD of Muppets Go To WDW: Speculation?

Isn't it just a dated, long-form Disneyworld commercial? It should come free w/ the purchase of something else. I mean, it may have entertainment value, and work as bonus material. But why would they sell a commercial?
