    Russ Walko puppets on eBay

Doesn't matter to me- I noticed he didn't sell many of the stuff he was selling. I would have gotten a couple but his loss...and money still in my pocket :-)

What are puppet eyes made from

The Muppet eyes are mostly vacuum formed from polystyrene. The puppet wrangler you speak of was probably just cleaning the puppets eyes. You don't want eyes to be polished- I always sand my eyes or spray them with flat paint- as light shining off the eyes can distract the viewer. I'm certain all...

Getting back into puppet building, looking for some advice

Purchase a simple series puppet pattern and learn that way- $20 isn't that much and you get it instantly. You don't sew fabric onto the foam base- you would hot glue or sew the mouth to the mouth plate. I have a step by step series that could help you understand all that I'm talking about. The...

    My Fozzie Replica (First Attempt)

I usually run the boning horizontally- Terry Angus told me sometimes they "spiral" the boning inside the body.

    My Fozzie Replica (First Attempt)

The dress material is called boning. I sew it inside the body to give the structure support - so it doesn't collapse from the weight of the fur and arms. Many people are switching over to L100/200 it holds it's shape and is less time consuming than sewing in boning. Ernie (at least an older...

    Dog Puppet Nose?

The Sculpey or Fimo clay is great but you have to watch- if you are doing a big (huge) nose I recommend first getting some tin foil and molding the basic shape of your nose; then cover the tin fold with the sculpey/Fimo and mold to get the right look. If you place a huge piece of sculpey/Fimo...
