We Have a Picture of Walter AND MORE NEWS!

I don't agree with that at all. Let's be honest; Kermit is not detailed at all. Neither is Dr. Honeydew, or Scooter, or Beaker Most of the classic Muppets are NOT "detailed" at all. They are very simple, yet they DO have a charm. It is NOT their appearances that are complex, but their...

We Have a Picture of Walter AND MORE NEWS!

Well, lets be honest here, Poser puppets were used for that picture, which do not always portray the characters in the most flattering light. The puppets used for the filming will not necessarily look exactly like the posers in that picture. Still, very nice photo! :)

    That's what I think too.

We Have a Picture of Walter AND MORE NEWS!

Greg the Bunny was a completely different concept, a sitcom on Fox, not associated with the Muppets whatsoever. On Greg the Bunny, "puppets" were considered a real species. Living, breathing individuals not controlled by anyone. I think that its safe to say that in this upcoming movie, the...

Perhaps he is sitting on a little platform attached to the table? :coy:

Jason Segel to play the lead in new movie

Agreed. To be honest, it wasen't until a few years ago that I fully learned what true potential that MFS could of had by searching online. But even when I saw it back in 1999, though it did have its moments, I always knew that it was kind of bland. Its a real shame, MFS could have been so much...

Loony Tunes, a theory as to why the are a tough sell...

You know, its kind of true. In retrospect, Space Jam was not really that great. The combination of Loony Tunes and Micheal Jordan (Most likely for commercial reasons) was an odd one. And in many regards, the story was not very strong. As I kid, I liked Space Jam. Of course, as young kids we...

Loony Tunes, a theory as to why the are a tough sell...

Its true, it seems that all the best ideas ended up on the cutting room floor. I remember seeing the original opening storyboard. It would have been much better. Yes, there was one moment in the film especially when they hinted at the deeper meaning of the Bugs and Daffy relationship, but they...

Loony Tunes, a theory as to why the are a tough sell...

That would definitely be a good start. I have to say, I did not like BIA all that much. If one has the DVD, they can look at the special features and see that that they had a ton of story problems. During the scenes that took place in Africa, the story was all over the map. They had a lot of...

Loony Tunes, a theory as to why they are a tough sell... In a recent thread, the Loony Tunes came up, and the fact that the have not been doing anything for a while and that they seem to have a hard time finding an audience today. While there are probably a lot of reasons why, I have a theory...

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

Also, not to get too much off topic, but it seems that Disney is trying to embrace their classic characters a bit more. As part of the expansion at Disney California Adventure, the Silly Symphony Swings opened earlier this year. Its themed to "The Band Concert" cartoon. Now, for those Disney...

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

Well, I personally have no problem with Marvel being owned by Disney. Sure, it was a bit unexpected, but it could could turn out to be beneficial for both parties involved. If nothing else, I think it will help Disney to attract the elusive boy demographic. They currently have Marvel cartoons on...

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

Sad. Of course, there are some individuals who are both fans of Disney and the Muppets! Such as myself. :) And unless I'm off my guess, so is Duke.

Jason Segel to play the lead in new movie

Yup! I wish that the Muppets Studio would have mentioned it on Twitter though, it would have been a good way to generate excitement.

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

I just listened to that Muppetcast and what they have to say about Muppets Kitchen, (including some of the reasoning behind Angelo) and yes, its really interesting stuff, everyone here should listen to it! :)

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

I'm really surprised that you mentioned me. If one were to look back on this thread, I have not taken anything too seriously. Its been days since I've even posted here. It was Duke's posts that brought to you say that in the first place. Not mine. So I don't know why you included me. I'm all...

Well, there's the Swedish Chef for one. :hungry: ..Oh! And Dr. Honeydew; Very simple design with him.

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

Yes, I'd say that Angelo is improving. It was cool to see Andy and Randy again. And it may have been my imagination, but they seem to be a tad smarter now. :coy: I still don't understand why some people don't like Angelo from a design perspective. He has a Muppet look. (the nose for instance)...

Sesame Street teaches girls about Self-esteem...

And by the way... The only African American Muppets have been; Clifford, Kingston, and Roosevelt Franklin Both Clifford and Roosevelt Franklin have been the target of criticism for being stereotypes. (More so with Roosevelt though) Probably in part because it was never explicitly stated that...
