    TMS outline - Michael Palin!

As a Muppet fan fic writer, I love this! I once had the idea to write a Muppet Show outline where the Muppets spoof King Arthur with Michael Palin (ala Monty Python and the Holy Grail), but I struggled a lot with it. This outline is really really nice...I like the scene with Sam and Michael, as...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

I mean, Jimmy Fallon has had the Muppets on the Tonight Show quite a few times. The Roots have performed the Sesame Street theme in a "Classroom Instruments" segment AND in a "Wheel of Musical Impressions" segment with Adam Levine, so Questlove is familiar with SS and the Muppets for sure. Like...

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Holy........................if only you could see the pictures in my mind after your description. Remember the skit where Cookie Monster imagines a cookie and then eats it? I might just do that right now...but for a whole rack of ribs.

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Barbecue fan here! (BBQ? Bar-be-que? Just HOW is it spelled?) What style was the food? There's different styles of BBQ that pertain to a certain region (e.g. Texas style, Memphis style, St. Louis style). Just curious as to what style of BBQ is served at Big Ed's. My favorites are ribs and...

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

Two classic episodes that had me scratching my head for different reasons. First, Elmo meets a shady guy who "deals" him the word NO, and in the latter episode we meet "Garbo." https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_2706 https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_2303

The... -wait fer it-... "What made you laugh today?" Thread

I'm watching a Rolling Stones concert video on YouTube, and I thought of a conversation I had with a friend a while ago: Me: So bands like Rush and Queen wrote progressive music that was all over the place, and bands like the Rolling Stones just stuck to their formula of straight-forward rock...

    The New New Quote Thread

James Corden: Steven, as a rock star your life is all about excess. How much have you spent on drugs in your lifetime? [Audience laughs] Steven Tyler: (pauses) About $2 million. James: (shocked, bursts into laughter) Are you serious? Steven: I snorted half of Peru! ("Spill Your Guts or Fill...

Seasons 5 and 10, since most of my Old School outlines are based on the SS Classics episodes from those seasons.

    The "You know what?" thread

I agree that Freleng's cartoons seemed to have more physical in-your-face humor (Tweety vs. Sylvester in "Birds Anonymous" and Bugs Bunny vs. Yosemite Sam in "Knighty Knight Bugs," both of which won Oscars in 1957 and 1958 respectively), whereas Jones's works were more cerebral and artsy like...

The 'What Song Are You Currently Listening To?' Thread

I'm not sure if people give the Doobie Brothers enough credit as vocalists. Sure, classic bands like Queen, Eagles, and most 1960s - 1970s Motown/R&B groups (Miracles, Spinners, Chi-Lites, etc.) had amazing vocals, but I think the Doobies are right up there with them as well.
