Thanks :) He was a fun build and it all came together well.
No, I didn't build that one but I'd one day like to attempt to.
Thanks! My Muppet voices are based on the 80's style voices. Now if I can just figure out how to silence those googly eyes!
I've just finished my cookie monster but it seems that the googly eyes make tons of noise. I suppose I should fill them with spongy foam?. I also added a small piece of felt behind the blacks of the eyes in hopes of quieting things down. Any other suggestions?
Here's his first demo...
What do you look for when you check it every ten minutes? I would have figured that you can't see too much change when it's soaking wet. Does it begin to clump more?
129 views and 1 reply? I guess my Prairie Dawn sucks! LOL! My daughter and I were at the table eating lunch and she said to me out of nowhere: "don't forget to finish Prairie Dawn's body". She's 2.5 yrs old so lots of what she says is random. I guess she's been thinking about it....which is...
I ended up boiling some test strips. I also tried just using hot water from the tap which works less but still gives a change in texture. I guess boiling is the way to go....spraying sounds messy, stinky and flammable! :)
Sounds good. I was just wondering if you ever got the help that you wanted. My cookie is near completion. I started with the mouth and built him up from there. I'm quite happy with him so far.
Hello all,
Well youtube was a dud and I didn't find much here when searching so here we are at this here thread. I'm building a Cookie Monster puppet for fun and to play with the kids but I'm wondering about texturizing the fur. I've read a plenty about boiling it but what are the other...
Yeah, eye placement is everything, for sure! I can't take the chance on pulling her eyes up, they are hot glued. She will just be for fun and my daughter is excited for her to start visiting so I'm not too concerned with it. I'd be pretty sad if her face got ruined. I've learned that it's best...
Hello all,
I just wanted to share my second build, Prairie Dawn.
She is bigger than scale but I'm pretty sure my hands are bigger than Fran Brill's. She is about the size of a 2.5 - 3 year old child. I consider her to be a bit of a mash up between old and new style Prairie Dawn. She will...
I picked up a halloween gorilla costume that I plan to use on a future Rowlf build. It's not perfect but it's pretty good for a first attempt. It's his nose that I struggle with. I've read the threads and various ways to do it....crayola model magic, fimo, air dry clay, wood.... but I believe...
Looks good! How did you do so well at hiding the seams? Specifically on his nose down the middle. Looks as though you may have not even had a seam there.....Did you do something differently than the usual Kermit pattern builds?
