Are you thinking about Everthing I Really Needed to Know I Learned About In Kindergarden (paraphrase)? Or did you actually read an article or something that was a takeoff of that in a Muppet motif?
Okay -it's taken me awhile to get to this thread as i tend to read the forum in order by thread # so as not to miss anything and easier keep track of what i've read and what i haven't ... and February's been a very difficult and personally challenging month for me so given that this thread was...
I've discussed most of these shows other times in other threads but since i'm kind of regularly posting again after being AWOL from the forum for awhile, may as well throw these in here (some of these will probably be unfamiliar to anyone not at least in their late 20's or early 30's)
...but...
I'd imagine Boober could easily represent either paranoid or pessimistic - and would get a lot of usage in threads discussing Disney's treatment of the Muppets (ducking now...)
I don't usually reply to fan fiction posts but i had to give you some real high marks here.
No offense made to anyone else here who posts fan fiction, but i've never been one to get into it that much (not just Muppet/Henson but any fan fiction in general). I'd much rather read stuff that...
While it doesn't contain any answers as to how it actually got there, you may want to check the archives at toughpigs.com for a great article called "Folder? I hardly know her" which talks about that very mistake! Fun read.
As evidenced by this thread, there are a lot of hardcore fans who are willing (and able) to pay a great deal of money for such a unique high quality product.
Unfortunately, one's love and hardcore fan status is not exclusive to a particular financial class of person - so there exists people...
...Actually i think the alien in the beanie that was the spokesfigure for Quisp (MAN do i ever miss Quisp!) was the alltime coolest but Count Chocula was right up there (i liked Boo Berry a little better though)...when i was a kid Morgan Freeman's Dracula on Electric Company always reminded me...
Had a chance to meet several at MuppetFest already (but of course there's so many would love to have a chance to have an extended chat with as opposed to the con situation where you know there's 100's of other fans wanting to chat them up at the same time)...so out of the ones i haven't met yet...
I've only recently started to do tape trades again after a hiatus, so i've been a bit out of the loop as to what's presently available out there within the tape trade community, but as far as i know i don't think anyone's tracked down a full clip of this yet, but if you can manage to see a copy...
Posted my thoughts on the overexposure of Elmo in the retired Muppets list thread before i discovered this one (quick summary - it's not so much that he's been overexposed but it's been his personality/design changes that have annoyed me in the past decade more than his screentime), so here's my...
No list here, just some comments on what's been posted so far
-- Since there hasn't been much high profile major projects for some time, this is a hard one because so MANY characters besides the major leaguers hasn't had a chance to do much. Characters like Scooter and the EM have pretty...
Have been here pretty much since after the site made its debut - it was pretty much the next step for Muppet fandom at the time - the only real major way for fans to connect prior were newsgroup bulletin boards and MuppetZine. It wasn't necessarily the First way for fans to connect (the...
Wow -never knew John K was that into puppets, but it makes sense that he would have a lot of great insights - as far as animation goes, he was definately an original - whereas most animation studios place so much emphasis on the model sheets and pre-approved (almost cookie cutter) looks, John K...
Wow - that's really interesting to learn that about I Am So Proud from The Mikado since i've done that number before. I never knew that it incorporated all the sounds of the English language, but that's the least of the things that make it challenging to actually perform...besides vocal...
I'm among those disappointed that Muppet Morsels are no more. Even if one didn't like the "format", this was essentially an episode commentary which hasn't been otherwise replaced with an audio commentary or what have you...and these days i really consider some form of commentary on at least...
The Subway Song (was SO happy this was on the recent box set!)
Ernie/Bert: Rhyming Game (you can always tell a major Muppet fan, because they'll burst out laughing when you yell out in your best Bert voice: "Hey there lamp, that's a nice shade!....you!")
Ernie tries to take a picture of...
"I'd like to cry something that will look more detailed."
Well i know that some people have been able to "cry me a river" but not that sure it will work that well with hair...unless you're going for the wetlook.
'Course a lot of time when someone cries, someone will comfort them by saying...
